"The house is located rural, next to a unpaved road en a small stream. It is not luxury but wel equipped and comfortable. It offer a lot value for money. Due to the trees it is relatively cool on hot summer days. In Lormes , which has a nice atmosphere, there are supermarket, several good shops for food and some cafe’s. The surrounding is suited for some shorter day trips and for walking. For cooling down on hot days there is a small lake at a 15 minutes walk from the house"

"This was a great place in the beautiful French countryside. Clean, quiet and plenty of room for two. Excellent jumping off point to Chablis, Dijon and other nearby towns/villages."

"J'ai séjourné dans ce gîte pendant 3 jours avec mes deux petites chiennes berger des shetland car je me rendais dans la région pour un stage de mantrailing. Tout était parfait : propreté impeccable, endroit très calme, gîte très cosy. Hôtesse très accueillante et très sympatique et qui plus est adore les animaux. Je recommande les yeux fermés! Je pense que c'est l'un des gites de la région que j'ai le plus apprécié. Encore merci!"

"Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans ce gîte à l'écart mais proche du village, des chemins de randonnées et des lacs. Les propriétaires sont charmants et attentionnés. Je vous recommande ce joli coin de nature !"

"Das Haus ist sehr schön und absolut ruhig gelegen. Der Ort ist sehr klein, aber man direkt von dort zu schönen Spaziergängen starten. Der nächste Bäcker mit leckerem Brot und Croissants ist mit dem Auto in 10 Minuten zu erreichen - in Nuars. Abel hat uns herzlichen in Empfang genommen. Er hat uns viele Tipps gegeben und uns auch Honig vom ortsansässigen Imker besorgt - sehr zu empfehlen. Ansonsten gibt es in der Nähe (ca 20 Minuten mit dem Auto) einen schönen Badesee, der nicht zu überlaufen...

"The location and Gite were fantastic, right by a river which Bruno was fishing for Cray Fish! Bruno couldn’t do enough for us and the lovely Chocolate Ganache was excellent! Very quite, peaceful, beautiful walks through the woods and can’t wait to get back there next year!"

"We loved our time at Champallement which is a very pretty village in beautiful countryside. Our host was extremely helpful prior to arrival and the house is just as described in the listing. Comfortable beds, high quality dishwasher and washing machine, a good garden for us and our dogs (though a determined dog could escape quite easily). Kitchen was well equipped but small for more than one person. Very good shower. Fantastic dog walks all around and lakes for swimming just 15 minutes away...

"Morvan is beautiful and I highly recommend the area. I do not recommend this house however. On the plus side, the garden is beautiful and the upstairs bedrooms are nice. However, there are many issues with the house : the pool is not usable, the bridge is unsafe, the downstairs bedroom has a weird smell and noise coming from the electrical panel, one of the windows is obstructed by an old blanket, the set of keys worked randomly and we got stuck outside once. The house was probably very nice 5...
