Although the hotel had previously charged my credit card for 2 rooms separately on November 22. 2024, it charged the room price separately a second time. Although we showed that it was charged on November 22, 2024 on the credit card statement, she didn't check-in. The 2 rooms prices charged twice should be refunded.

Disappointing Experience at the New Yorker Miami. I recently stayed at the New Yorker Miami, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had hoped for. On the first day of my stay, I faced a significant issue: I found myself locked out of my room. Despite numerous attempts to reach the front desk and getting help, there was no one available to assist me. After waiting for what felt like an eternity, I had no choice but to rent another hotel for the night, which was incredibly frustrating and inconvenient. The lack of responsiveness from the staff left me feeling abandoned and disappointed. While the hotel had potential with its amenities and location, the service experience overshadowed any positives. I hope management addresses these issues, as they could greatly improve the overall guest experience. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this hotel based on my encounter.

Great, updated hotel. Cute, courtyard for coffee and morning bagels. Nice selection of bottles of wine in lobby. Rooms facing the street are noisy from car traffic.

The immediate area of the hotel is fine, but a few blocks west is very sketchy. 2 days after I left, I received notice that they put a charge on my card. I called the hotel directly and was informed I committed a deposit violation: either smoking, damages or drinking a bottle of water, and I could speak to a supervisor if I wanted to have this corrected. The phone number I was given for a supervisor was a general number/call center. When I called the front desk to verify the number I was informed the supervisor is very busy and I should just email. Very convenient that the penalty was added 2 days after I left and had no way of addressing the false accusation. Waiting to see if they fix this.

The property was clean and had obviously been updated recently. The day before we were scheduled to leave, we decided to add another night to our stay. I advised the clerk who reserved the additional night. The following day, we decided not to stay the additional night. When I advised the clerk, I was told we would have to pay for the additional night, even though we would not be using it. I was told this was because reservations could not be cancelled. I could accept this if I had been advised before I booked the extra night, but I was not. I don’t consider this good business practice. We did leave and were charged the extra night. Unfortunately this put a black mark on an otherwise great experience.

If value drives your decision, the comparative value was good. A minor note, there's a patio area tucked in the back. Photos online show it bubbling with nighttime activity. Maybe that happens on the weekend. That area was in need of some TLC.

Convenient area. Clean enough. Everything was fine for a low budget hotel. The free parking is nice. Rooms are fairly sound proofed. If there's noise outside, you will hear it, and there could be some past midnight.
