Wonderful stay. Cute room. Wish there was an ice machine, but they have tiny ice trays in the room fridge/freezer that supplied us with some. Walkable to beach, grocery, liquor store, and restaurants.

Pictures on website were somewhat deceiving. The room is literally just the bunk beds and the small bathroom. All other photos are of the lobby area. Pool was nice, staff helpful and reasonable distance from the beach.

First off I feel catfished this property does not look like the photos in the app. Our outside view was to an abandoned building where transient people where besides. The furniture is very outdated and the sink was so tiny we can barely do anything with it. I complained of noise upstairs and on the side of us they tried to quiet them down it was still loud. And as we were trying to check out no one was at the front desk and there were other patrons complaining and telling us no one was covering the front desk. I can for relaxation and got that minimally however the only positive thing was the bed was comfortable. No microwave and a pink Frigidaire from the 1950s.

1. No parking available. They should tell you in the listing that these is no on premise parking. They sent us to AC hotels by Marriot and they took us for a ride.... They didn't give a receipt, took only cash and put another person's name in the ticket.. Really what are they upto ? 2. The AC didn't work in the night. Find out that the timer was set to occur the AC function every 4 hrs.... Who does stuff like that ,? 3. The property is falling apart.... Just calling it fancy names and being close to the beach doesn't make it a great or a desirable property.

Overall enjoyed my stay at The Alden. But there are a few things that can be improved. 1. Access to water, unless you’re cool with drinking the sink water or paying $6 at the first floor bar/restaurant. A water bottle filling station would have been real nice. 2. Making the unit entry doors not slam shut for everyone. Since this is close to South Beach and all the late night partyers. I woke up a few times to people slamming their doors. Otherwise, great hotel to stay at, beautiful interior fit out from lobby to unit. Maybe just make sure both color lights on the outside work to bring it all together. Really big plus to this hotel is you’re about a block away from the beach.

My friend, who checked in earlier today, picked up the room keys since I was arriving late at 12am. When I arrived, she wasn’t at the hotel due to a personal matter. To make things worse, another couple informed me that no one had been at the front desk for about 30 minutes. With my friend still 30 minutes away, I couldn’t check in or go rest in my room. This level of service is incredibly unprofessional. It is extremely concerning that no one is currently available at the front desk, especially considering your website states that front desk service is available 24/7. This lack of service is unacceptable and disappointing.
