family and I stayed here a few times with no issues. This time, the sofa bed in our room was so dirty that we didn't even set anything on it or sit on it, ourselves. The ottoman was also dirty and ripped on too, and our bathroom sink was very slow to drain. I shared pics of the furniture to the front desk attendant upon checkout and she was gracious enough to refund us one night's stay for the inconvenience. The bedsheets were clean and the breakfast was satisfying."

"We were in the older portion of the hotel which was more worn down looking. They only had smoking rooms available. The cigar smell when you open the room door was a lot. But the sewage smell made it even worse. We bought a device from Yankee Candle that helped with the cigar smell but did little to help with the sewage. The pool area was really nice till the hot tubs got crowded with loud drinks. The staff was very attentive. The dining options were nice."

"The property is right in the middle of everything which is so convenient!! Me and my youngest daughter stayed for 4 days and really enjoyed it! We went shopping, ate at a few of the local restaurants, rode the train to Chicago, and went to the beach! It is an older hotel so there's no elevator so keep that in mind if you decide to stay here, staff was great and the place was clean!! We will be back!! "

"Not bad. We enjoyed the price. Husband liked the breakfast. The place was clean as it could be with being in a beach town. We slept well and felt safe. Pool was kind of cloudy so we just didn’t swim in it. The mirrors were cool in the rooms! There were air tight covers on both the box springs and the mattresses which is one thing I look for at every hotel when looking for bugs, so that was good! Everywhere should have those! Overall it was a good experience. The lady at the front desk was really cool. Thanks microtel! "
