Great Creek-Side Cabin
We were attending a wedding at Willow Stone Farm and this was a great place to stay. It is very cozy and right on the creek. The home was clean and had everything we needed. They even had a range of nice pillows for those who are picky.

Relaxing Weekend
My wife, dog, and I took a weekend away from everything at this wonderful cabin. Loved morning coffee swinging on the porch watching the creek flow by. At night we enjoyed fires along the creek. Super close to plenty of parks and hiking trails which our dog loved. Recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet getaway!

Purrrfect Place
We had the best time here over this past rainy weekend despite the weather! Our two families with two young kids slept comfortably in this cottage that had everything we could have possibly needed and more. The decor is so charming and the property was spotless. The area by the creek will be lovely for when we come back sometime to enjoy the water during nicer weather. Having a second fire pit near the house was clutch. Our kids’ favorite part was spending so much time with the friendly neighborhood cats that loved to snuggle with whomever was sitting in the front porch rocking chairs. The front porch is an ideal coffee spot. Highly recommend!!

Quick trip for a wedding
The property was perfectly located where we had to go. Much better alternative than a long ride to a hotel. The place was clean. The managers/hosts were attentive and responsive. Bonfire on the creek was a perfect way to cap a day which included a long drive. The kayaks the next morning in the middle of the stream to see tons of fish and a bald eagle overhead. Definitely would stay again.

Fabulous!
We had a fun and relaxing time! The house is beautiful and we are in love with the front porch! Scenery was stunning and the creek was super fun to kayak and fish on (caught a few bass). The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc. Bedrooms were nice and cozy. Shower/bathroom very clean. We checked out T&D’s Cats of the World as well—we really liked it as it is a sanctuary for the mistreated and unwanted. So beautiful! Definitely plan on coming back. Highly recommended! Thank you Mary and Bill!!!

Nice getaway
We just wanted a couple days to have a quiet get away and this house fit the bill. Great communication with the owners. The house was great, clean, and accommodating. We had a nice time sitting on the porch during a thunderstorm watching the lake. A bit more traffic at times from the street before the lake than we expected, lots of large trucks and construction vehicles driving fast, so we had to make sure the dogs and kid were accounted for at all times, but plenty of room in the back to hang out and overall a relaxing and pleasant stay.

Very Nice Location
It was my wife and I with two kids ages 10 and 12. Property was as described. Cabin by the edge of the river. Kids enjoyed messing around in the water. We also enjoyed the fishing. Mixed bag of trout, bass, and panfish in front of the property. Cabin has all the essentials needed and the bottle of wine was a great surprise. Area is convenient as well. Towns close by with groceries, shops, and places to eat.

Great creekside getaway!!
All the previous 5 star reviews have said it all. Clean, well appointed, wonderful communication and on and on. During our stay (mid-June) it was unseasonably hot, mid-90s every day. The cabin had window AC units in every bedroom, plus two in the downstairs and they worked beautifully. We were so comfortable and grateful for the ability to cool the home despite the extreme heat. Also used a portable fan that was provided to sit on the front porch to create a little breeze. The heat was the only concern before arriving and there was nothing to worry about. Enjoyed the view and appreciated some extra lawn chairs that we moved to the creek shore line for early morning and evening. Bring your bug spray, though. Wide variety of birds to include bald eagle. Check out the Merlin App for birdsong identification. Every evening our fishermen waded out into the creek to do some fly fishing, water was quite warm from the heat but they were still biting. No big fish, but enough to keep it interesting We took our dog and it was necessary to keep her on leash because the road is well traveled by cars, bikes, and buggies and there are neighbors on both sides with some cats in view. Wasn’t a problem- just fyi for future dog families. We thoroughly enjoyed the area and wondered if 4 nights was going to be too long but it wasn’t long enough. Highlights- The Old Mill Creamery for ice cream. Dinner/beer at Rusty Rail. And Penns Creek Pottery visit with the potters.

Fishing Fun for the Weekend
We stayed over Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful time. The pictures really don’t do this cabin justice. We felt at home immediately and were grateful for all the amenities that the home offered. Mary, our host, reached out via email regularly to check in and make sure we were enjoying our stay. We loved being able to sit on the porch and listen to the creek while drinking coffee, walk across to the water to fish or to just lay in the sun. Our dog, River, loved swimming in the creek too. We cooked food on the open fire out back (and it tasted better than cooking it indoors) and we lounged on the comfy sofas in the cozy living room. The place was wonderful and we will definitely be back. Thank you!

From the welcome bottle of wine to the well stocked coffee bar, this house has it all! We love to sit on the porch and listen to the creek and watch the horse and buggies go by. This cabin was perfect for us. Very clean, extremely comfortable and close to everything. This cabin is so well stocked and makes you feel right at home. Falling asleep to the sounds of Penn's Creek is heavenly. We loved exploring the friendly town of Mifflinburg and meeting so many lovely people. Our favorite place is Shade Mountain Winery for relaxation and great wines, and Rusty Rail for a tasty dinner. Don't miss DC coffee for breakfast, too. The hosts were amazing with everything, too! This place had everything we needed. The decorations were perfect for this log cabin themed vacation home. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. The living and dining rooms were large. They had many things we did not use like a fire pit and kayaks for the river across from the front yard. We would go back here anytime
