"Beautiful hotel right on the beach. We ate in the restaurant at night, amazing food & good wine. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Good breakfast. Lovely big room with loads of space. "This is a really good option for Unawatuna. It is set above the road (quite busy) and is an oasis of well designed chalets and the main the building. The pool is fantastic. Breakfast is available and we were told by guests that it was very good. The staff are wonderful. Friendly and very helpful. The rooms are spotless. The tuk tuk is always available to get from the front gate - many steps and quite steep if you decide to walk it (I did!). There are two large tortoises and two dogs on site....

"Has very nice location and lovely staff. Room is large and very clean for the price. Only problem was often the shower would not run cold water only boiling hot which you could not shower under. Also the fan rooms are very stuffy as no window you an open-normally we find fans rooms to be sufficient but here it was hotter in our room than outside. "We stayed for 3 nights in a top floor room. The hotel is right on the beach and we had a sweeping view of the beach from our balcony. The room was clean and the bathroom modern. As others have said, the TV is at the head of the bed so we did as they did and reversed our bedding. Management were friendly and helpful and the restaurant staff were friendly if not efficient but hey, welcome to Sri Lanka!"
