A wonderful week in a perfect location
We had a very relaxing week, hidden away next to Sandy Haven, in a comfortable cottage, with great views. We loved watching the tide ebb and flow, the dogs loved playing on the beach !

Idyllic setting for a winter break
Great time with friends. Particularly enjoyed the open plan living area with view of the estuary. Cream carpet in hall was rather impractical to keep clean, but I gather it is going to be replaced. Information pack about the area had disappeared, but I informed the owner. The owner was very easy to deal with by WhatsApp, which was great if we had any questions.

Stunning Location but...........
This could be a wonderful place to stay, the location is to die for with stunning views over the estuary, unfortunately the property requires a major upgrade. There is no water pressure and very little, if any, hot water. The windows were filthy and the interior had had a minimum clean. The garden is not safe for dogs or small children, there are large gaps in the fencing with exposed barbed wire and there are some sheer drops at the rear of the garden. The path down to the gated area leading to the beach is dangerous and unusable. The wifi is only good for emails, no bandwidth for catchup TV or streaming services. The utility room stinks of dog, mold on the shower doors, this property could do with a serious deep clean throughout and an upgrade to the plumbing system.

Lovely stay
This was our third stay at Ferry Cottage. Fantastic location, especially if you like beaches, sailing, swimming or coastal walking. Good pubs within easy reach. The house is light and airy with amazing views. Amazing spacious kitchen. Beds are a bit small and soft and the water and plumbing is a bit erratic.

Heaven for children and well behaved dogs
Property was perfect for us ,it was the sort of house that you usually see on holiday that you wish you were staying at ! The location was spectacular,we didn’t need to explore any further than the beach and coast path ! Then dined in still appreciating the changing estuary Views. The weather was glorious too which greatly enhanced our stay.

A wonderful location
A truly amazing location, swimming when the tide is right and jumping off the wall when the tide is high. Absolutely fantastic. although the house could do with some serious maintenance, the balcony was covered in bird mess and the glass/Perspex was green. Although this didn't spoil our holiday, it shows that this house isn't cared for, which is such a shame as it could be absolutely amazing if a little money was spent on it tidying it up.

Probably the most relaxing holiday EVER
We cannot thank you enough for listing your home as a holiday destination. Our whole group has had the most relaxing time, the weather has been incredible and we shall saviour our memories of this trip for a very long time. The house is wonderful, your neighbours are all so lovely at the campsite and the village close by, and we have had a fabulous time! We shall be back! The only criticism would be that your pictures do not do it justice! Xx

We really did enjoy our stay at this property, the location is simply beautiful. We would recommend this to friends and family. A note... the shops are not close so I would suggest taking dishwasher tablets and extra bin bags, as well as tinfoil and cling wrap.

New Year 2021
Property is situated in ideal location for beach, property exceptionally clean inside and lovely gesture with tea bags, milk, butter etc, although a little tired, water pressure is shocking as already mentioned, blinds were hanging off in dining area and the veranda is the perfect spot except the windows were green with moss! Garden is not dog friendly at rear as fencing needs replacing for peace of mind we were advised of this and we did bring chicken wire but area to vast to cover, overall a beautiful place but just needs a little care and attention with some simple changes, would still recommend to friends x

Lovely Rural Getaway
The location is what sells this house. You wake up with the sound of the sea lapping the shore. You can eat with amazing views of the estuary, and are so isolated you feel truly alone. A large property, with room for nearly 10 at a push. Plenty of parking, good WiFi, phone line, fully equipped kitchen, a lovely welcome bundle of goodies, and the hosts were very flexible in terms of check in and out. The house is probably in need of some TLC, and there are elements that are now quite tired. The lack of shower in the bathroom was a pain, and the outside lights tripped the fuse box constantly until we realised they were the problem. Check in and out times are pretty restrictive, and if owners hadn't been so flexible, I don't think I would have chosen the property. A 5pm checkin and 9.30am check out just doesn't work with toddlers. There were no facilities to recycle, which is fine, but instructions suggest that you have to do it and will get charged if you don't. This should probably get resolved. Sometimes struggled to get immediate response from owners, but always within 2/3 days. My granfer lived in one of the two cottages that were there before the current house was built, in the 1930s, and we've often looked at it wondering what it would be like inside. he always described it as being so far from everywhere, had to walk to school in hebrandston, kept their own pigs and slept on straw beds, got cut off in winter when in snowed! But that isolation is what makes it such a special location.

Best beach holiday ever
Lovely couple who cleaned the house, left a selection of Welsh treats and flowers for us. Perfect location. Gorgeous house. Is it for sale?! Scored rage for communication with property manager as we had no need to communicate with them. Scored 4 for accuracy of description because we felt the online pictures didn't do it justice.

Fantastic location, fantastic house but.....
This is an amazing house in an amazing location. The garden is lovely and the views over the creek are wonderful. We brought a dinghy and canoe with us and it is a perfect location for exploring Milford Haven by water. We also walked on the coast path from the house and further afield. On wet days the big glass windows meant the house was light and a perfect place to watch the world go by. The easy access to the beach would make it perfect for families with small children. This amazing house seemed a little tired though, the garden is somewhat spoiled by all the rubbish in the greenhouse, the windows needed cleaning and the toilet and shower plumbing are less than perfect. But the location makes up for it all. It is truly a one off property and we will be back.

Such easy access to interesting beach, dramatic tidal changes, sheltered coves, rock pools, waves, crabbing bridge, estuary. Lovely and big garden too. House spacious and well equipped, apart from showers. Garden hose was useful for sandy feet.

House and location absolutely amazing!
Just back from our first holiday since lockdown and what an incredible place to stay. There were 8 of us , 4 being teenagers! The house was spacious, immaculately clean, well equipped, warm and everyone found the rooms and beds very comfortable. Massive bonus having 2 fridges and a utility room to clean off the dogs! The garden leads to the beach which is very quiet and amazing for the children to explore and the dogs to run around. Big plus being able to see the children crabbing from the lounge window! Loved the outdoor balcony for the evening , although cold this time of year we were all able to relax, catch-up and watch the sunset with a glass of wine. Would recommend Milford Haven marina for restaurants and Little Haven and Broad Haven for some other beaches. Thank you for a special stay, would 100% recommend !

Outstanding location, quite beautiful.
The location is quite wonderful and of great interest to bird watchers in the autumn and winter. Accommodation was very good. It was slightly let down by tired bed linen, uncomfortable mattresses and not that clean. There were no logs available for the wood burning stove and the garden which is lovely and well tendered was spoilt by quite a lot of rubbish left around. However we had a wonderful holiday there.

Lovely position
We had a lovely stay at Ferry Cottage. It is ideally situated with lovely views. We had a few problems which were sorted out very quickly by Kate. As other people have mentioned it would benefit from a second shower which I believe the owner is trying to get sorted. We were very lucky with the weather, it was warm and sunny everyday. You won’t be disappointed if you book this property.
