It was very clean and the hosts were very accommodating. The breakfasts were truly delicious with beautiful presentation- poached pears with pomegranate, blueberry pancakes, bacon and scones with clotted cream and lemon curd. It had a cozy atmosphere in an old restored house with all of the modern accommodations. Can’t say enough good about it. Walking distance to great restaurants, historical sites, shopping and hiking trails.

Romantic Birthday Getaway!

I was searching for a romantic place to take my wife for her birthday. This was perfect, the B&B was so nice everything renovated and clean. The owner/hosts took amazing care of us. They even provided glasses for wine and an outstanding breakfast.

The John H Wallace House is the oldest historic house in Milford. Our host was friendly and knowledgeable and gave us a tour of the whole beautiful house!! The house has been newly renovated!! The bathroom and shower were gorgeous! The breakfast was outstanding and even had homemade scones, clotted cream and lemon curd served on beautiful china!! It was truly a home away from home!

Tremendous new BnB we highly recommend!

We had a wonderful overnight stay at The John Wallace BnB. The owners are fabulous hosts and the newly renovated building is beautiful. Our room was very comfortable and the common areas were lovely. The BnB's location is wonderful, too. It's within walking distance of the town center and the building is actually part of the town's historic building self tour. Be sure to factor in time for their tremendous breakfast! John is an awesome breakfast cook and breakfast here will give you a great start for your day. We highly recommend staying here!

An amazing stay at John Wallace House! The property has been completely renovated for comfort and key period design. I can’t say enough about the staff John and Linda, they are so friendly and have created a warm and inviting space throughout the house. Room was , clean and quiet and so relaxing! Breakfast was all home made fresh and delicious. John and Linda have created something very special, will definitely stay again.

What an incredible experience! My fiancé and I had the pleasure of staying at the John H Wallace House, and from start to finish, it was nothing short of amazing. The hospitality was exceptional, making us feel right at home. The house itself is a perfect blend of history and comfort, thoughtfully decorated with a mix of antique and modern touches. Every detail reflects care, making the space feel both cozy and impeccably clean. We loved learning about the rich history of the house and town, which added such a special touch to our stay. And let’s talk about breakfast—absolutely delicious! The recommendations for dining and exploring in the walkable town of Milton were spot on. It’s clear that guest experience is the top priority, and it absolutely shows. After staying here, we visited another Airbnb, and it didn’t come close to the charm and hospitality we experienced at the John H Wallace House. Breakfast was great. Wonderful restoration of historic property. The rooms are very nicely furnished. Would, however, choose a room not directly at the front of home on first floor as the traffic noice is somewhat of a distraction when trying to sleep. Would not recommend “Adeline” room for this reason. All other rooms should be fine in terms of for mentioned traffic noice. But would highly recommend this wonderful stay.
