"A really beautiful hotel recently refurbished and looking and feeling 5*. Staff friendly and obliging, warm and inviting in a beautiful position overlooking the loch with plenty of outside seating areas. Breakfast was everything you could want but evening meal a little limited for our taste and perhaps a little pricey."

"Staff were welcoming, professional & helpful. Spa and bar lovely. All made for a very relaxing stay. Room comfortable if a little warm. Evening meal was good although perplexed that steak served with either potato or vegetables unless you took one as a side dish. Breakfast very enjoyable had full Scottish one day then haddock the next. Will definitely go back."

"Sadly we were unable to enjoy the break as much as we would have liked. Absolutely nothing to do with the resort. Quite the opposite! I unfortunately took unwell. Peter, the First Aider could not have been more attentive and dialled 999. He stayed with me until the Paramedics arrived. I was Blue lighted back down to Dunoon and kept in overnight. Once I had seen the doctor again the following morning and released from hospital. Portavadie sent Josh, a duty manager the 1.5 hours down to pick up me and my wife and return us to the resort. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced such care anywhere else in the past. "
