"VRBO let us make a reservation when the house was already booked! We got there and the house was occupied! The house was far away from the town center (not minutes away like advertise), very difficult access. Very secluded and not clear directions of how to get there. We had to start looking for other hotel that day. Fortunately Mindo has very beautiful places to stay. Very scary experience nonetheless."

"The property was ideal and as described. The only things we could have used was a fan and more mosquito spray! We were walking distance to the butterfly garden which was spectacular as well as a chairlift going up the mountain for a waterfall tour. It was farther into town than walking distance and only one restaurant nearby so I would suggest getting the meal option or shopping in town for food. "It seems like a brand new property. The staff is super kind, both the front door staff and the one who communicate with you via WhatsApp (the staff of the sister hotel less so). They are extremely responsive. The location is great, near lots of restaurants and the beautiful Carolina park. "

"It was a pretty good stay. Quito is going through some power outages (due to the drought), so we had power off a lot of the time we were there at the property. But that's not necessarily the owner's fault -- everyone in Quito is getting their energy cut right now. Overall, it was a good deal, located up in a relatively safe area (in the financial district). When we learned we were unable to have friends over in the apartment (building policy not mentioned to us at any point), we requested to leave.
