He towed out some cars which got stuck in the car park by the house, provided lots of logs, replaced the washing machine which had problems and was generally a great help. "The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. "The small cottage is very well equipped, It has been very well thought out, every thing you need using the small tidy space. The outside area is so peaceful and will be at it's best in summer. "Stayed fir 3 nights. With 10 adults. Lovley big house. Plently of room Comfortable beds. Some paintwork a.bit.shabby which was a shame. Only down side was it stated a clockroom i thought that.meant a downstairs toilet but it was just a place eto hang coats. Excellent location for Kelso town and races.

"We were able to park up at 11am so we could go to the races very helpful with directions etc. Lovely hotel with beautiful gardens that we could see from our first floor windows. No lifts which now as we are getting older need to start checking out before booking. No the hotels fault but just a fact of life. Excellent breakfast."
