"Property is nice, for all the house rules and remarks about leaving everything clean and items in their “home” property was not that clean. Oven was a disaster that required cleaning to use. Otherwise nice if you do not mind taxidermy and possible daycare with 3 dogs next door."

"This house is spacious, immaculate and seemingly brand new. It was the perfect space for our seven older adults but would be great for families with children as well. Everything you need is in both the kitchen and bathrooms. Beds are very comfortable with soft, luxurious linens. Plenty of very nice pillows. Towels are thick and fluffy. Close proximity to Polk City, Ankeny, and Des Moines, in a quiet family neighborhood. We would definitely stay again!"

"Abby & Jeff were very nice to work with. The house was very nice and clean. We enjoyed the pool table and darts in the basement. The backyard deck with table and chairs was nice to have. The fenced in yard was great to have for my daughter’s dog when she came to visit us. Only downfall was the central air conditioning wasn’t working on our 2nd evening so it made for an uncomfortable evening. That was not something that Jeff & Abby could control, but they did have extra fans available and asked...

Had a little trouble communicating with the host initially but then eventually got that taken care of and had great communication and was able to arrange early check-in and late checkout for a fee. "Myself, with my 2 longtime best friends, stayed 3 nights at the home, from the 13th to the 16th. We visited the Fair, enjoyed some shopping and a lot of time together. The house is welcoming, the reservation process and communication with the owner were hassle-free and prompt. It was very clean, spacious, comfortable. The location was easily accessible and very quiet. I would recommend staying here, 3 separate bedrooms and bathrooms offer a great deal of privacy and space. "

"We only stayed on night but it was perfect, The apt was clean, in a good area and close enough to several restaurants, breweries, some tourist spots and a DG for last minute items. "Beautiful hotel and excellent staff and service. I was awakened twice in the middle of the night by really loud crashing sounds coming from a nearby building that sounded like commercial dumpsters being emptied. Idk what the hotel could do about that if anything, but it was really startling and is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars for surrounding property. The hotel itself is truly wonderful. Thank you!"

Great place to stay for your trip to Ames

"Very nice place to stay for a visit to Ames (or surrounding area). Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel and room was clean and appeared to be well cared for. Short drive to campus and pretty easy commute even for football games. I would call it a “no frills” place but is a very nice place to stay and is a good value. Would book here again. "
