Fantastic duplex in the Historic District

We are glad to be back offering our bright, art deco era upper unit with great living area that overlooks other unique homes in a historic district. It is three easy blocks to the light rail and close to downtown Minneapolis, the University of Minnesota, trails, breweries and restaurants.

The duplex was built in 1925 and maintains its original art deco feel. The dark woodwork, door hardware, North and South side piano windows, winding staircase and hardwood flooring throughout the home are inviting and warm. The windows on three sides of the living room provide a fun "tree house" view of the lovely homes on our quiet street and make a great spot to relax or work in the afternoon sunshine. The deck off the second bedroom faces the back yard is the perfect place to spend a summer evening.

There are two bedrooms. Bedroom #1 contains one queen sized bed and ceiling fan. Bedroom #2 has two twin beds. Both rooms have dressers and closet space.

The spacious living room includes lots of comfortable seating, flat screen TV, DVD player and Netflix access. There are also a variety of games and books for guests to use.

The full kitchen is clean, updated and provides items needed to cook meals. It has a full sized refrigerator, oven, gas stove, microwave and dishwasher.

The bathroom is a typical size for the era and has a deep tub with a shower.

The dining room boasts a classic plate shelf and two large West facing windows that bring in the afternoon light. The large dining table can easily seat six.

We loved staying in this vintage upstairs duplex. It has a tree-house feel and overlooks a beautiful street in the historic Prospect Park neighborhood. The home was comfortable, quiet, and everything was provided for a great stay. There was even a high chair for our little one. Comfortable beds and air conditioning. Thank you!

MN prospect park

We loved the overall ambiance of the place. All of the windows made the light fantastic. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. It was within walking distance of many places. The walk to the light rail was easy. Kitchen was fully stocked. We really enjoyed out stay and would stay again when we are in the area.

small but efficient

Pleased with location of this property relative to U of M campus (pool). Home small but worked great for 2 adults and 2 kids. Older home so some squeaks with the floors. Steps to enter and get to 2nd floor were a surprise, but manageable. Would be hard for someone with bad knees, elderly, etc. Would stay again.

Short family vacation in Minneapolis

The unit was perfect for a family with two parents in one bedroom (queen bed) and two teens in another (twin beds). The kitchen was well stocked, the bathroom shower was warm and pleasant, and the living room and dining room had beautiful views. We appreciated the stacks of interesting books throughout the unit. The Prospect Park location was beautiful and accessible; everything we wanted to see was just a ten-minute drive away. Check-in and -out was simple and efficient. Really, it was all wonderful for a few days of getaway without being in a hotel.

Family visit

The property was perfect. I enjoyed staying in this home. It reminded me of an Aunt's home in Minneapolis. It was clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything I needed (including a tea pot). The bedding smelled great and the bed was comfortable. It was a perfect location between Brooklyn Center and Inver Grove Heights where I was driving between every day. My son and I spent part of one day enjoying recommendations close by the home as well. I would highly recommend.

Lovely wood floors and many windows

We had a great time staying at this charming apartment, with beautiful wood floors and 12-paned windows that brought in the light from outside. We arrived on the record heat day of 88 in April, and the owners were very responsive and quickly installed wall units that usually go up in May. The apartment was quite comfortable, with personal touches that made us feel very much at home. Thanks for having us.

Perfect rental

Pros: We greatly enjoyed staying at this property. It's located in a quiet and safe neighborhood with street parking in front of the house and easy access to the highways. Smooth check-in and check out with fast WiFi for work. Would definitely stay here again. Cons: The house only has window AC units which could be an issue for those preferring a very cool house or those having a hard time sleeping with background noise. This was not an issue for us and the window units did a good job at keeping the inside temperature at low 70s.

Sometimes you rent nice places but then you find yourself with the hassle of having to buy lots of daily stuff (kitchen towels, coffee-maker filters, napkins, and etc etc etc This beautiful, well maintained apartment has ALL. Utensils to cook, and even nice wine glasses!!! The owners are very easy to deal with. The property is very well located, we rode our bikes a lot! Very nice neighborhood. We would rent it again in a heart beat! Thanks Clark!!

Beautiful duplex in Prospect Park

My husband and I spent 3 nights in St. Paul visiting our daughter who is attending the UofM on St. Paul campus. We absolutely loved staying in this duplex. The duplex unit is beautiful with all of the original hardwood floors and millwork. The windows to the front let in so much natural light and the view out the living and dining room was simply stunning with the changing fall colors. The place was clean and had plenty of bathroom linens and toiletry items. We also just loved the residential setting. Prospect park is a wonderful eclectic mix of housing and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the short walk to the Witches Hat, surrounding park, and then on to Surrly brewery. I would definitely recommend this property if you have time to spend in the St. Paul area. We will certainly be back if property available when visiting daughter.

Great property for our weekend stay.

We were in town to do a college visit at the University of Minnesota. The property was an easy ten minute drive to the U and conveniently located off of I-94, which is why we picked this rental. Check-in was easy with abundant street parking available. The rental was very clean and looked even better in person than it does in the pictures. The two bedroom set-up was perfect for my husband and I and our two children for our two-night stay. It's located in a very quiet, residential area that felt very safe to us. The only downside is that we didn't really find any restaurants within walking distance of the unit. But other than that we really loved this rental and would definitely stay here again if we are in the area. One thing that I would mention is that although the unit sleeps 4 people and is advertised as such, there is an additional $15 charge per night for the third and fourth guests. Not a dealbreaker for us, but just something to keep in mind if you decide to reserve this property.
