"Property is beautiful. Waterfront is so nice. Definitely not super fancy but does the job. French press coffee only. Did not like that. One had a crack in it. Our only real complaint was the number of flies we had to kill every afternoon in the kitchen. If the owner fixed the kitchen door this won’t be a problem. Beautiful place. Would stay again. Would have liked a microwave and kcup coffee pot."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Carraway Cottage! It had everything you need to stay comfortable and relaxed. We were pleasantly surprised that the water filtration system allows you to drink straight from the tap so we could refill our water bottles too. The bed was very comfortable, it was clean and well-kept. The location is central to the beautiful attractions of the redwoods. We took several hikes and had a fancy dinner at the Bennie Inn. Highly recommend!"

"You can't beat the environment. It's in the middle of the redwoods. Each cabin-like room has big trees close by. The room is cute, like an antique; if this is your type of thing you probably would like it. However, it's quite old. The bathroom tube makes screeching noise (thankfully just for a minute or two) when first using faucet; the heater has a loud noise (dropping of water?) in the middle of night which woke us up. So we decided to turn the heater off -- it wasn't very cold that night,...

"My family absolutely loved this property. The views are stunning and there is lots of space for everyone. The location is pretty remote, so the town is small and we really enjoyed meeting the locals. They directed us to a safe beach area so the kids could play in the water. "

While property was very clean we gave 3 stars due to very bad odor when we arrived, it was fine after we opened some windows and aired it out. Be prepared for very low to the ground beds. Breakfast in the kitchen was amazing due to the views!!!. Rules and instuctions were very clear and fyi there is a grocery store across the street if you need anything. "The pictures don't do justice. The visit to the Hobbit house was amazing. The drivie way to get in is a little oasis is tricky but manageable. Just don't do it with a corvette.lol. Commutation with the host was great and never felt like they didn't want to help or provide a great stay!"

"This home is a gem in Southern Humboldt. Just steps from the historic Benbow golf course. My kids loved the pool, it’s big and deep. Easy access right off Hwy 101, near the town of Garberville with good grocery stores. Close to Redwood groves and swimming holes on the Eel River. Comfortable beds and amazing views."

"Lovely property in Miranda/Myers Flats. Recently remodeled, top notch & cozy. Gas station & restaurant 1/2 mile down the road. So serene & beautiful! Would stay again! (there was a difficulty entering the property as the instructions were incorrect on the deadbolt, so it did take about an hour to get into the property. Somebody came by to help me out.)"

"The inn was actually more like a motel. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and accommodating. My main issue was the floor. I am a barefoot girl and the bottom of my feet were very dirty from walking around barefoot and caused me to wear my shoes inside. There were a few minor maintenance issues which were taken care of once they were brought to the attention of the manager. "
