Beach House Apartment 5 is a light-filled, first floor apartment. It is tastefully furnished with Asian furniture and local and Asian artwork. It has a great beach house feel. The living area has comfortable sofas, a dining table that seats 6 and sliding glass doors that open fully onto a large balcony overlooking the beach. With the doors open, the beach is literally on your doorstep. The balcony is set up for long, lazy days of outdoor living with a table (seats 8), 4-burner gas BBQ, relaxing day bed and ceiling fans.
The master bedroom is at the front of the apartment and has a romantic, queen-size, four-poster bed with a mosquito net canopy. The master bedroom has sliding doors that also open onto the balcony. It is magical to lie in bed and hear the waves rolling in or watch the sunrise!! The master bedroom has an en suite with a spa bath and separate shower.
The second and third bedrooms are at the rear of the apartment and overlook the pool area. Both rooms have sliding doors that open onto a rear balcony. The second bedroom has a teak, queen-size bed. The third bedroom has twin beds and is bright, cheerful, and perfect for children.
There is a central bathroom with a shower over the bath and a utilities room with washing machine and dryer. Off the living room is a small study area. The living area has ceiling fans and an air conditioner; all bedrooms are air-conditioned. The kitchen is fully equipped with European appliances, microwave and family-size fridge.
The apartment is perfect for either two couples or families; it includes linen, beach towels and is well equipped with games (Monopoly, Scrabble, and Trouble) and books. It is well set up for young children and has plastic plates and cups and a booster seat.

The choices abound - Tandem Sky Dive onto Mission Beach, White Water Raft down the Tully River, Snorkel or Dive the Great Barrier Reef, Fish on the Great Barrier Reef, Kayak over to Dunk Island, enjoy an Island Cruise, End the Day doing a Sunset Sail, take a Walk on one of the many Rainforrest Walking Tracks and spot a Cassowary, Play a Round of Golf.
Take a drive to one of the many waterfalls or enjoy a day discovering The Atherton Tablelands.

By Road
The drive to Mission Beach from Cairns is 1.5 to 2 hours along Highway No 1 - also referred to as The Bruce Highway. It takes you through the heart of the region’s sugar cane and banana farming communities. South of Innisfail at the small township called El Arish turn left from the Highway. (Opposite El Arish Golf Course). The distance to Mission Beach is approx. 16km travelling through amazing World Heritage listed rainforest.
Car Hire
Sugarland Car Rentals has an office in Cairns and Mission Beach enabling one way hire options i.e. from Cairns to Mission Beach. There is a drop off fee of approx. $50-00. They offer a courtesy drop off to your accommodation or Cairns Airport between the hours of 7-30am and 5-00pm at the Cairns office and 8-00am and 4-45pm at the Mission Beach Office.
If you wish to hire a car for the entire time during your stay your options then extend to the larger companies eg. Budget, Avis, Hertz or Thrifty Hire Car Companies.

FINDING YOUR WAY TO MISSION BEACH FROM TOWNSVILLE
Townsville Airport offers flights from Darwin, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
The drive to Mission Beach from Townsville is 2.5 hours to 3 hours along Highway No 1 - also referred to as The Bruce Highway. It is strongly recommended on this drive to have a break at the Frosty Mango – approx. 45mins drive north of Townsville. Here you can enjoy the most amazing selection of homemade ice creams and gelati. Continue on your journey to Mission Beach crossing the Cardwell Range with breathtaking views at the top overlook Hinchinbrook Island and Channel. Just north of the township of Tully take a right turn. Drive through farmland and the world famous Licuala Palm Forrest and on to the beach communities of Mission Beach.
