"The apartment is beautiful. Just like in the pictures. It's close to the old town, so lot of shops are available with a short walk. Parking can be difficult during the day, but we found it was like that anywhere close to the old town. After 8 pm more paking spots become available close to the flat. I would recommend this flat and would come back."

"The apartment was easy to find near the Black Church. Parking not so easy on a Saturday, but we were able to unload right outside the apt so it was an easy walk back. The studio is fairly basic but more than adequate for a couple of nights. You are only 3 minutes walk from the main square in old town. Communication by WhatsApp was easy and prompt."

"On arrival the restaurant was closed and upon asking the receptionist o was told there is no restaurant near by . The room was never cleaned and dirty towel was put back on the rail. Room was noisy at tines with main villa door being shut and people coming in and out also dog being left in next door room. The restaurant staff didn’t speak English. I ordered some food and I was offered microwave chicken and raw fish where I ordered a glass of wine , I was only offered a full bottle. Upon asking...

"We stayed in the Avantgard apartment and while the location was great; right in the centre of the old town, within walking distance to many cafes, restaurants and shops, the apartment did have a few issues. It faces the main road so it was quite noisy throughout the night. The apartment itself is also very creaky, especially the loft where the bed is. "Great place with wonderful views. Road to get there was a little rough but we managed fine in our van. Could really do with better air conditioning as the room on the top floor was uncomfortably warm. But great outdoor area for socialising with a bbq. Washing machine for clothes was very useful and airing racks are provided. Thank you for having us. We enjoyed our stay."

"Nice place, cozy, big room and bathroom, free parking on site, but.. the receptionist had some issues! First, she was very upset about the internet speed that she had to work with (not my problem!), then she asked me how I would like to pay (everything was already paid for since the reservation was made!) and top of all was in the morning when she told me she had to wait for 20 minutes because I was late for breakfast (what else beside smoking and drinking coffee did she have to do, anyway?)"

Really sweet digs, just off the village square

"Adding a couple days on the front of a Viking cruise, we spent a couple of days in Brasov. We prefer to stay close to downtown. I found Rossmarkt Haus on a popular hotel website. As is typically the case, finding a place to park can be quite difficult, so splurge for the optional private parking which is ~100 meters from the building, which also houses a restaurant. There are no elevators so you’ll be carrying your bags up one or two flights of stairs. We stayed in room #1, which had a big living room, separate bedroom, and a large bathroom. Wooden floors and windows overlooking the street, the living space was very comfortable. A mini-split unit covered the HVAC needs nicely. Breakfast is included, and is a choice between a hotel buffet across the street, or a la carte from the restaurant downstairs. We preferred the buffet. All-in-all, a very enjoyable stay, and one that we’d recommend if you’re going to be in Brasov. See my other reviews (Ograda and Cucinino) for places to dine. Recommended"
