"We opted for demi pension which was really good value. Room was very clean and comfortable although a little snug. Restaurant was excellent with lots of choice, menu plus A La Carte. Breakfast also excellent and service was superb. Only disappointment was car parking - from the description we had assumed parking was on site and secure not across the road on the open verge. Very quiet area, opposite a canal with good walks nearby."

"We turned up at the hotel for a 3nights extended bank holidays weekend just to find out that the hotel was privatised and fully booked with nowhere to sleep in town or in the neighbouring villages !!! Owner refused to speak to Hotels.com since apparently he has only signed a contract with Expedia (but didn’t acknowledge it was the same company!) and refused to speak English... Hotels.com was not able to sort it out not find anywhere else and we had to drive back home 3hrs in the other direction...

"A very convenient apartment within a short walk from everything this delightful village offers. Plenty of space, bathroom and kitchen are new. There was a small issue with the apartment we reserved. The spiral staircase was difficult for this senior to maneuver our luggage up to the space. There was no offer from staff to help. When I expressed my concern to the owner, she apologized and requested a staff member help when we finished our stay. Otherwise, highly recommended!"

"A lovely newly refurbished house. I loved the premium quality cotton sheets and duvet cover. A super kingsize bed, which was very comfortable. The breakfast was freshly squeezed orange juice( rare) bread, mini viennoiserie and home made jams. The hosts were very friendly and spoke English. "We booked this hotel at the last moment on our way back home. What a fantastic place. The level of service was some of the best we had seen for ages. The quality of food deserves a Mechlin star or two. In particular, and I’m guessing he was the head waiter helped us both with the menu without being condescending. His suggestions were spot on.
