"A really old house with a mix of very old and very modern furniture-really quirky. Very spacious property,well kitted out with all amenities. Situated in beautiful countryside with lots of attractions nearby. We were overwhelmed by the effort our hosts made for us and felt like old friends by the time we left. The views are fabulous, the pool warm enough to swim in all weathers, the gite is very well-equipped and the wood burner was most welcome on the cooler days. "The outside of the property is lovely. The pool is fabulous with a good seating area, however, we did have to clean the pool ourselves which we've never had to do at any other property we have rented. The interior of the house is very old and could do with having a thorough clean. There were a lot of cobwebs and some of the kitchen utensils weren't very clean. There was also a smell of soot in the lounge which exacerbated my daughters asthma so we chose not to use that room. Part of the house...

Absolute joy

"An absolute joy. We arrived a bit early and sat by the pool until the owners arrived. They were extremely friendly and welcoming. Our bedroom and the bathroom were perfect. We made use of the bath and shower. Plenty of hot water. The property is situated in beautiful quiet surroundings and we made use of the lovely swimming pool. Then to top everything off, drinks by the pool followed by a delicious supper in the restaurant that opened for us despite it being a Monday Breakfast was also very adequate. We would certainly return if travelling anywhere near that way. Thank you."
