Water Views EVERYWHERE! Waterfront-Pools-Tennis-Beach-Dock!!

Peninsula Place at Bernard's Landing is a large waterfront townhome that lives like a luxury home! Sleeps 8 (10 if 2 of the children are age 3 or under). Easy access with no steps. Walk in on ground level with views of water all around. The main level has a King Master Suite and second Queen bedroom, kitchen, dining, living, dinette, and deck with seating. The upper level has another King Master Suite/full bath with balcony and a Children's bedroom with two twin beds and a pack n play, changing table, and half bath. The lake level basement has a sitting area, Queen bed, full bath, laundry, and patio seating with grill.

There is room to both spread out and come together as you spend time on the deck overlooking spectacular lake views that include the length of Smith Mountain and wide water all around! With so much to see and do around Smith Mountain Lake and in the resort itself, your family will have the time of their lives.....literally!!

The Resort atmosphere will fill your days with fun, sun, and beauty. We have you covered...rain or shine!

DINING: An onsite restaurant, Napoli by the Lake, is well reviewed and will take your lakeside experience to the next level!

BOATING: Courtesy docks are located just outside of your unit, so be sure to bring a boat or plan to rent one onsite or at one of the many marinas so you can enjoy the sights and fun on the lake. There are at least 10 restaurants that you can boat to! The resort offers an offloading ramp and empty trailer storage during your stay for a fee if you register online for a decal. FISHING: The lake has outstanding fishing for bass, catfish, and the trophy striper bass. For ensured success, you may want to hire a fishing guide for a 1/2 day trip. These book up so I encourage you to do your research early. Fishing is allowed from shore or the courtesy docks when not filled with boats. Virginia law requires those 16 yrs or older to purchase a fishing license. This can be purchased online.

Nearby Westlake is the lake's premier shopping area with Kroger, CVS, movie theater, restaurants, bait shop, and more. Bridgewater Plaza is another 8 minutes to the north and has several restaurants, surf shop, ice cream, pizza, bungee tramp, and mini golf. There is a local alpaca farm, Booker T. Washington historic site, and the World War II Memorial in Bedford and more to visit. There is a public golf course at Westlake also!

We have provided kayaks and lifejackets in our the lower level storage areas. Virginia law and common sense requires a lifejacket when using a kayak. You will want to supervise children at all times around water. There is no barrier between the home and the water.

There is a beach right near the townhome and beach toys for your use. The larger public beach can be accessed by parking near Napoli restaurant.

Please plan to respect neighbors who are full time residents and follow Property Association rules. No excessive noise after 10pm, no parties or formal events, no pets, no fireworks, no tents can be erected in the yard, and you will need to remove belongings from yard and beach each evening. Weekend Wedding
Were in town for a wedding staying with family and friends. Booked last year and have been looking forward to it, the house turned out to be the house to go to, with the views and the dock, everyone wanted to hang out here. Bernard's Landing has the best view's at SML. Hope to come back again, thanks Lisa for helping with our lost tumblers as well!

End of summer getaway
The unit itself is better than the pictures show. It could use an update here and there. However, it was clean, spacious and well appointed. Plus, the view in our opinion from Peninsula Point at Bernard’s is the best on the lake. We’ve owned units at Bernard’s ourselves and stayed in 5-6 others over the years. I’d not hesitate for one moment to stay here again or recommend to others.

We were at this beautiful location on Smith Mountain Lake to attend and celebrate our son's wedding. This was the most comfortable accommodations ever. The kitchen was amazing with plenty of dishes and fixings that could be needed. The house was clean and the beds were so comfortable. The views could not be better. It was a soothing, relaxing and exciting vacation just looking out of the windows.

Peninsula Perfection!
We are a three generation family and we had lots of room to spread out at Peninsula Place! We were really impressed with the spices, salt, pepper, sugar, etc. that were in the kitchen so we didn’t need to buy every little thing. The views of the lake are epic and there are kayaks and kids toys, etc. to use at the little beach out back. We have already booked our vacation here for next year!

Fantastic Property!
Our family has been staying at Bernard's Landing for a week for over 30 years. We have stayed at many properties there and this was probably our favorite ever. It was clean, updated and well-stocked. This condo was perfect for our family, the honeymoon couple had the private downstairs, the couple with 2 young children had the upstairs and wr(the older couple had the main floor. Gorgeous views of the lake & mountain. Enjoyed kayacking & swimming right outside condo. Easy boat rental for tubing, skiing, fishing.

Lake side townhouse
We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house was perfectly clean and well stocked. The dock out back was very convenient. We rented a boat and one day had a jet ski so we could go in and out very easily. The marina is within a fast 3-5 minute walk from the house. We also fished off the dock during the day and at night. It was easy to get out of the water using the ladder on the dock. We walked into the lake from the little beach just steps from the house to float in the lake would be perfect for small kids or grandparents. The views from the house were amazing. The AC worked very well with an additional ac unit in the upstairs bedrooms. We cooked meals at the townhouse and found everything we needed. The extra fridge in the lower level was great for storing drinks. We used the kayaks everyday. We enjoyed pickleball at the community courts. The house had many things not listed like kids toys, books, so that was nice. All in all it was a fabulous stay and everything was perfect!!! Thank you so much for having us at your home.

Perfect Family Getaway
We loved our stay! The house was stocked with everything you’d need to cook in, tons of fun for kids and grown up’s alike, and the views were spectacular. We appreciated how kid/baby friendly it was, so helpful with little ones to have it all there. We rented a boat and docked it right out back. The pools were great too. We all thought the house had a good set up and loved our stay. The hosts were excellent to work with too!

We had a wonderful time at Bernard’s Landing. The condo was very clean and as described on the website. I will say the furnriturr in the living room could use some updating as the couches and chair weren’t super comfortable. The beach access and pool was such a nice amenity. We will definitely be back again!

The most beautiful home and best host
Everything we ever could have imagined. The view is even better than the pictures and the sunrise was breathtaking. We went in winter so it was incredibly quiet, but also 60 degrees and we were out kayaking in the water. I just can't say enough about the whole experience ❤️

Great visit at a beautiful place
The view from the front windows was absolutely beautiful. It was so pleasant to get up in the morning, walk out of the bedroom and see the lake and mountains. One morning there were clouds lying on the mountains with the rest of the sky clear. It was one of those scenes that should be on a travel brochure. All the facilities were great too. It was truly a relaxing, fun time with the family. I hope we will be able to do it again in the future. About the books on the table, one came from your bookshelf, and the other was left as a donation by my husband who has written several novels over the years. Just add it to your library. The toothpaste left behind isn't ours.

Family vacation
We were very pleased with every aspect of the home and trip. The view off the back porch was amazing. The entire home was very clean and welcoming. If anyone was to forget to bring anything, there’s a very good chance there’s extra at the home. Anything from coffee to water floats to soaps to dinnerware was there to access. We will definitely plan on staying again next year and hopefully making this into a tradition.

Great property in a beautiful location. Unit could use an update of appliances in the kitchen...the ice machine in fridge/freezer was antiquated, as well as the range in which the temperature was unreadable on the display(an analogue thermometer) was placed inside the oven to measure the oven temps. Overall a great place for a family vacation or get away.
