The beds were comfortable, the food and drinks were amazing (thank you Oscar!), and the staff was incredible! "This is a very cool little cluster of cabanas and a bar/restaurant on a legit TINY island. The staff is great, the food is decent, and the snorkeling could be better, but overall it was a fun stay. We were the only ones staying on the island, which was pretty cool."

"A quiet and very beautifully designed and crafted home.The locally painted, and carved wood decor allows you to be living in a gallery.Everywhere you look inside and out is breathtaking beauty.The Caribbean surrounds the dock with local boat traffic on the canal.Treat yourself!"

"We loved our stay at Beachside Villas in Placencia. These condos are right on the water, literally 10 yards from the surf line. The price was great and the staff was responsive. It’s a great location between Placencia town and Maya Beach, about halfway down the peninsula. Plenty of grocery stores and restaurants are near it. Comfortable and clean, it was a relaxing vacation. "

"Our stay was comfortable, with a good distance of walking to Lobster fest. Our room was pretty clean, provided all the amenities mentioned, and even soap and towels. There were some leftover, used things of soap that were still in the shower area from visitors past. It was hard to find our place at first, and even as I was sitting in my hammock one of the days, some visitors had to ask me to help them find their building. But overall, once we got settled it was a great spot to stay at."

"We’ve been to Placencia several times, but our first stay here. Loved it! Candace’s advice and arrangements, for guides, restaurants, even a massage, were dead on. The location is within easy walking distance of all we could have wanted. And guides picked us up on the beach in front of the property! "We found this place to be so unique and loved all of it. It was spacious. The rainforest shower was gorgeous. It had everything one could possibly need for a 6 night stay. We had a golf cart so we were able to explore the area all the way down to Placencia pier district. It was nice to vome home to a private pool and relax and watch the sun set over the lagoon. The balcony was relaxing and i even got some photos of the full moon. Highly recommend and would stay again."

The pool was amazing, the dock with a an authentic palapa was a great hangout, and the rooftop deck was a perfect spot to watch the sunsets. It was a short 10 minute stroll to the village where you can find restaurants, bars, markets, and everything you need. The hosts and caretakers are very helpful and knowledgeable, and are happy to share...

"Property was very lovely. Staff were helpful friendly and accommodating. Bikes, kayaks etc were great quality. Arrived on a Sunday, very slow and quiet with a small staff. But things picked up by Tuesday/wednesday and full staff arrived. Spa was top notch. Restaurant was good but pricey. "

"Mariposa is located on the beautiful beach.The resort is very small and creates very cozy and private environment The resort is well maintained very close to local airport. They have little restaurant but we had rental car and explored local Placencia restaurants. The staff is very friendly. We booked treehouse but they have construction on the property grounds. The manager offered for us beachfront room that was quiet and far away from the construction site . We really appreciated the upgrade. We stayed in this resort for a second time and never been disappointed. Thank you all the staff and manger for awesome vocation. We will come back."
