INDEPENDENT HOUSE LARGE TERRACES & SPECTACULAR VIEWS in CENTER W. PARKING

Casina Pellegrino - Tuscan Villa.
A charming three tier house nestled in the sun kissed hills of Montepulciano, Italy. Enjoy gorgeous views in a perfect location that is just minutes walking distance from the main Squares and the downtown areas. The house sits right outside the Medieval City Walls which means you get unobstructed, picture perfect views of the region with those Olive groves and vineyards right from your balcony and terraces.
Imagine waking up to breathtaking views of the Tuscan hill country from your private balcony or window. Open the French doors leading to the large terrace where you can enjoy breakfast lunch and dinner at your own pace. Appreciate the local wine, olive oil, bread and cheese so close in town. Lounge under the Tuscan sun, on a comfortable chaise with a glass of wine in your hand overlooking the 3 nearby lakes shining in the distance. Walk over to the medieval town center and visit the 16th century monuments, local specialty shops, sit in the main square to drink an Italian Espresso and listen to a free classical music concert. On your way back home, indulge in a homemade Gelato.
The house is big enough to accommodate and sleep up to 10 people comfortably. It is fully renovated with modern amenities, includes 2 separate full bathrooms, including a bathtub with view over the hills. In a town where parking is scarce and comes at a premium, you will be able to park 2 cars in dedicated spots in front of the house. The kitchen is fully equipped and allows you to cook fresh meals using local ingredients from the farmers market. Or if you want, visit one of the many restaurants nearby and sample some delicious 'Pici' a Tuscan specialty.
Montepulciano, located right in the middle of the Tuscan Region, is an important medieval and Renaissance hill town in the province of Siena. With its elevation of 2000 feet and surrounded by Olive groves and Vineyards, it provides an amazing combination of views, world renowned wines, culinary experiences and rich history. The town is located 45 minutes away from Siena, an hour and a half from Florence and two hours away from Rome.

**Seasoned travelers tip:
Many tourists come to Italy each year but only a few Insiders understand Montepulciano is the perfect location because it is central and so close to many big cities and popular places in and even outside of Tuscany! It is quaint enough however, to give a true and very authentic experience of what Italy stands for: Food, Wine, Beauty, History, Basking Sun and some definitely fun and very welcoming people!
To truly experience and enjoy this country it is best to Rent a Car and use Montepulciano as a base from which to organize day trips to the most popular cities: Florence, Rome, Siena, etc. You will not only wake up to unparalleled views from the spacious house an get a lot more for your money but you will also avoid the hustle and bustle of the big metro areas. So, Instead come and enjoy the dolce vita (sweet life) in a peaceful and traditional italian town that has served as background to many popular movies (Under the Tuscan Sun, The Twilight saga, Letters to Juliet, English Patient and more.) From the you can walk to many historical markers and enjoy the day at your own pace or simply take the car and do a scenic drive on to the next cute town of Pienza, visit a castle in Montichiello or go vineyard hopping for example. There are so many options you can choose from, that is why Montepulciano and Casina Pellegrino, offer you the best of Italy no doubt.

What a location
You could not have a villa any closer to the historic village of Montepulciano. And you could not top the views of Tuscany. Erika provided the best summary of what to do, places to go, and what to taste - all of which helped us enjoy our stay.

Great views of wine country
Awesome views many decks to enjoy the outdoors, this house is good for a large group can easily fit 8-10 people. The previous reviews are accurate as house could use some updated furniture and cooling units. Plenty of kitchen utensils etc. and owner is very responsive to questions and helpful up front with guides on the area. Enjoyed our stay.

Great Stay
We did an “immersion” trip to Montepulciano and it was a perfect location! More room than we needed and very comfortable. Erika was fabulous to deal with before during and after our trip. Lots of great day trips within an hour added to our adventure. Highly recommend!

Nice Stay
This property was in a great location with a fantastic view. It was also so nice to have a dedicated parking spot right out front. The communication with the property manager, Erika, was excellent.

Walk to town with a view. Amazing!
After years of staying in various places all around the world, I can say without a doubt that this is the best place we have stayed in. Great location, lots or room (too much for us), clean, everything works, detailed information provided, lots of accessories (dishes, etc) and an amazing view to top it all off. Incredible.

Casa Pelligrino Review
This is a wonderful property! Amazing views, close to town, a true Tuscan experience. Montepulciano has many things to do and see. You can easily walk to everything. We truly enjoyed our time here. The owner is very easy to work with and very responsive to any questions - she even had a bottle of wine waiting for us upon our arrival. If you are looking for a perfect place in Tuscany, this is it!

Delightful Summer!
My sister and I stayed for an extended period of time in Erika’s Casina and enjoyed every moment. The location is ideal, within steps of charming Montepulciano and close to shops, restaurants and other hilltop villages. The Casina is comfortable, well equipped and has a parking spot - a rarity in Montepulciano. The view is magnificent! Erika is a wonderful host and I am looking forward to returning to her beautiful property someday.

Great location
We had 4 couples staying at the villa. We walked everyday across the street to town. It was so easy! Our views were amazing over the vineyards. The only thing I could say is taxi's to cooking class or vineyards should be arranged ahead of time. We would stay here again, thanks!

Wonderful views and easy walk to town
Great views of the Tuscan countryside, and an easy 5 minute walk into town. There is even a small convenience store right at the top of the steps when you get in town. We were able to park our van in front of the garage, which was super convenient. We were able to use some of the herbs from the back yard for our cooking class as well! Great home base for exploring all the neat towns and wineries in the area. Pienza was super close and a neat town to visit.

Wonderful location, amazing views
This house was perfect for our family of seven. It is located just at the base of the stairs into the walled city. The views from the house are spectacular. The back patio was a wonderful spot to enjoy wine and cheese and family. The kitchen is well stocked and one night we bought delicious dinner supplies in town (pasta and truffles!) and cooked in. Erika was extremely helpful and prompt with her responses. I would highly recommend this property.

Perfect casa , perfect location
I can’t say enough good things about this home. It’s views are spectacular, it was in immaculate condition, and having a place to park your car is a huge plus. We stayed 5 days & I didn’t want to leave. I will definitely stay at this casa again. Hopefully, next time will be for a couple weeks. It’s literally walk out the door, walk across the street, & walk the stairs into montepulciano! Absolutely perfect!

Great Location! Big Space! Awesome View!
Clean and big space! Excellent owner who replies everytime i ask them questions! Very close to town. Just be prepared that during summer months, the upper bedroom could be very hot at night as there's no a/c......but lots of space downstairs to become cozy :-). Parking was great since we had a van!

Beautiful Views. Lovely home.
The views of the deck are spectacular and Erika's home was very comfortable and clean. It is a short hike up to the town gate and about a 15-20 minute walk around the village to a big grocery. There was plenty of space for a larger group - 7 twins, a queen and a couch, 2 baths. Erika provides a huge document with insight into area amenities and attractions. We would stay again. Thanks.

Stellar views, central and comfortable
The property is a 5 minute walk up hill to the center of town. The views from the two well appointed verandas of the Tuscan landscape are stunning. Erica was on hand to show us the property and had taken care of every detail - from a well stocked kitchen (with a bottle of wine for us;-) to comfortable beds and fans in each room. She went the extra mile, in helping us park the car and even called a couple of local restaurants for us where she knew the owners as we arrived late, hungry and without a reservation. A great space for families or couples with plenty of room. Highly recommended!

What a Dream!
If you ever find yourself in beautiful Montepulciano, be sure to check out this rental. It is gorgeous, spacious, clean, and absolutely delightful. From large terrace spaces overlooking the Tuscan hillside to multiple spaces for sleeping and gathering, you will not be disappointed. There is even beauty in the bathrooms! The bathroom window looks like a work of art. Montepulciano is a stunning town with lots to explore. Be ready for steep hills and cobblestone roads. Put on those comfy walking shoes before hitting the wineries! I hope to make it back here again one day!

Location made our vacation!
Just a quick note to tell you what a wonderful time we had staying at your home in Montepulciano. We absolutely loved the area and your home was perfect for the 7 of us. I'm still dreaming of the views and ....the food of course :). We all agreed that La Casina and it's perfect location really made our vacation. Each evening we would walk up the stairs into town and enjoy walking through the streets to the Piazza Grande and window shopping. Something we never would have done if we'd stayed farther away. You really have a wonderful spot there. Thank you again and I hope to spend more time in Italy soon!

Wonderful month in Tuscany!
We rented the house for the month of August, and it was a great base for touring Montepulciano, Tuscany and even overnight trips to other parts of Italy. We were there during extreme heat, and the fans the owner provided for all the rooms helped make it quite comfortable. We loved the views from the patios, the proximity to the old city, and the tips the owner provided about local places to experience. We would return! One note: The recently added WiFi was a real plus--while it is advertised that there is WiFi in and around the city we were not able to access it on any reliable basis, so having it at the house was much appreciated.

This is the place to stay for Montepulciano
This property is by far, in my opinion, the best for Montepulciano. We had parking right outside the door (this is a big deal in Montepulciano), were a short walk from a grocery store, and little uphill stroll (like 4 minutes) and we were inside Montepulciano. The advantage of being just outside is that it was quiet and off of our 3 decks we had an amazing, unobstructed view of the Tuscan countryside. The pictures on the listing don’t lie. It really is as beautiful and spacious as it appears. Erika was amazing to work with. Responses were quick, and helpful. This was an amazing home for a week, you won’t go wrong booking it.

Gorgeous Views, Beautiful, Clean Apartment and the Best Owner!
I did not know anything about the Tuscany region, but when I wrote to Erika Pellegrino, she so incredibly helpful in assisting me in planning my itinerary with suggestions of how best to get to her from Rome. I asked so many questions and she was so patient and accommodating. Her home is gorgeous with breathtaking views. It is walking distance to the best restaurants and shops in Montepulciano. I am so glad we stayed there because it was easy to drive to some of the smaller towns on the way to Siena as well. It is also not far from Florence and an easy drive to Pisa and Lucca. I have already recommended this home to a friend heading to Tuscany in the fall. My family loved it here and I hope to be able to return again and spend even more time just relaxing on her two terraces with a delicious bottle of wine!

Perfect Location
Montepulciano is a hill town. The house is on the side of the hill offering an incredible view of the land below. There are a number of patios affording space to relax, have a bottle of wine, and take in the views. Parking is a bit of a challenge but there is a lot about 50 meters up the road and we always were able to find a spot. The house is very comfortable and has all that you need. Once you get used to the initial climb into town it gets easier and easier. It is easy to explore not only Montepulciano, but the surrounding towns as well. Don’t miss the farmer’s market at the bus station about 500 meters away. The owner is very easy to work with and bent over backwards to communicate and try to make our stay as pleasant as possible - and she did. We loved Montepulciano and wouldn’t stay in any other house.

Highlight of our Trip
Out of 3 weeks in Italy, our time here was the highlight. The property lives up to the descriptions, but the views are so stunning pictures really cant do them justice. We had breakfast, dinner and many bottles of delicious Nobile on the terrace - and have some great memories planning and revisiting our days while looking out over the unmatched Tuscan country side. Plenty of room for our group of 3 adults and 2 teens, with room for 4 more easily. Loved Montepulciano, and spent two days just enjoying "our" town - the location also served as a great hub for visiting many other nearby hilltop towns, hikes through the country side, nearby wineries (some in town - others minutes away by car) and day trips to Florence and Siena. A car is a must if you have similar ambitions... Erika was helpful all along the way, with tips on sight seeing, restaurants, and on the Casita. Highly recommended !

Gorgeous place!
We had an amazing experience at Casina Pelligrino and it was so hard to leave! The place was just beautiful; kitchen had plenty of utensils and pots and pans as we took advantage of market day and bought fresh ingredients to make delicious meals. The beds were very, very comfortable. I had read about issues with road noise, but I have to say that it was minimal and didn't bother us at all. There were 4 of us and the showers were hot. And then there was that terrace with views that I will never forget. Not only is the view beautiful during the day, but the night skies, away from big city lights, were also amazing. Bird watchers will love watching all sorts of birds swoop down over the valleys. The restaurants were all amazing and within a 5 - 10 minute walk away. Grocery store was a 15 minute walk or an easy drive into town. One of the best places we've ever stayed at and can't recommend highly enough!

Great location in Montepulciano with nice amenities, but no A/C, so a bit uncomfortable sleeping
It was great to have a parking spot right in town -- very convenient location. The valley views are spectacular and exactly as advertised; So pleasant for adding beauty and tranquility to evening wine hour or morning coffee. We felt very safe. Kitchen is well appointed. Owners are polite and hospitable. Some loud noise from nearby roads most of the early morning and evenings that made it difficult to sleep. There is no air conditioning and, although the temperature falls in the evenings, the 2nd floor bedroom air flow is not enough to make sleep cool and comfortable. The shower hot water ebbs and flows between not on at all, and scalding. Overall a nice spot to call home while seeing southern Tuscany, with some less-than-ideal circumstances. I would recommend this location for all the non-hot months (July and August).

Magical
After two weeks of traveling throughout southern France and Italy, we landed at this location in the beautiful Tuscan region of Italy. The home was the perfect place to recharge ourselves. The sweet home has a true sense of enchantment throughout; from its views & architecture to the thoughtful way the homeowners have decorated and furnished it. I enjoyed being able to park our car securely here and easily walk up into the old town city center for shopping and delicious food. We had several homemade meals with our family here; the kitchen and dining areas were perfect - both inside and outside. There is a lot of space in this home; an upstairs with a full bathroom and two bed rooms, each with two twin beds (or one kind beg depending on configuration). A downstairs that includes two twin beds, two comfortable futons and also a room with a king bed and a beautiful window view of the vineyard filled valley and hills (can also see several lakes from this view). The terraced balconies were perfect for morning and evening relaxation with gorgeous views that no camera can adequately capture. The homeowners were extremely helpful and readily available for communication. If you're after an enjoyable Tuscan getaway, this is a magical destination. Thank you!
