"Effectivement c'est très calme , à part les cigales bien sûr . Il fait chaud aussi . La piscine est assez grande et entretenue tous les 3-4 jours par Mr et Mme Lions qui habitent à 200m . Le logement est spacieux et le billard américain au RDC est appréciable . Pour les 3 chambres : 6 personnes max , idéalement 4 ."

We used all the seating areas, the pool, the grassy garden with the adirondack chairs, the picnic table, the patio table right outside the kitchen. It was so fun. We all enjoyed it so much. The location was ideal! We rented E-Bikes from Libery-Cycle which were awesome. We rode all over the Dordogne Valley on the bike trails. We will recommend this place to all our friends and family. "I liked the location a lot! Easy to get around as the immediate area is very flat. Would be good for disabled travelers. I didn’t see any kids at the hotel but would be fine for them too. The service was generally good. However, I observed a customer complaining about something and the manager put it back on the customer. Total gaslighting. It was a reasonable complaint. Also sometimes the food was missing ingredients like avocado but the staff won’t tell you they didn’t have everything on the menu. They seemed to be doing the best they could with what they had to work with. "

"Truly beautiful setting, wonderfully elegant. Dining on the terrace with hot air balloons floating on the horizon- so picturesque. Wonderful place. Indoor and outdoor pools provide excellent relaxation. Many good restaurants nearby, but we were happy breakfasting and dining at the chateau. "

Stay more than 1 night!

"1. Arrive in the daylight! This is Deep France, so it's a little confusing to find in the dark. 2. Stay in the Chateau part of the house. Our romantic room was BEAUTIFUL and just like the photos. Our -in-laws had a family room, and it was very large! 3. You should reserve for dinner since there isn't much else if you arrive in the evening. We missed it and ended up eating pizza in a parking lot! 4. Breakfast "buffet" was impressive, both the beautiful DR setting and the variety of food. Worth the $. 5. We were there in March, so still early spring, but the pool area and grounds looked very inviting for warmer weather. 6. Excellent treatment at reception for both arrival and departure. 7. Room/beds/AWESOME shower! We would love to return!"
