"Notres séjour s'est très bien passé, nous avons été merveilleusement accueilli. Petit bémol : la salle d'eau et WC relativement étroit, pas très accessible (marche pas assez large) pour des personnes qui ont quelques soucis aux jambes.. sinon tout était très bien ☺️"

We used all the seating areas, the pool, the grassy garden with the adirondack chairs, the picnic table, the patio table right outside the kitchen. It was so fun. We all enjoyed it so much. The location was ideal! We rented E-Bikes from Libery-Cycle which were awesome. We rode all over the Dordogne Valley on the bike trails. We will recommend this place to all our friends and family. "We really loved our stay at this hotel! The hotel is so historic and beautiful! Our room was clean, spacious, and had cold air conditioning! The housekeeping service was excellent. The front desk staff were so helpful to us and we appreciated them very much. We did not eat at the hotel but walked to several very good restaurants and cafes. Parking was right in front of the hotel. The town is so walkable and just lovely. We visited both Lascaux II and IV and well as other historical sites and they were all a short drive from the hotel. We were gone for six weeks in total through Spain, France, and Italy, including a transatlantic cruise and our stay at this hotel and the entire experience of visiting the caves was our highlight of the entire trip. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone!!!!"

"The reception staff here was outstanding. I feel bad I lost the note with their names because they truly were exceptional. All four ladies that staffed the front desk in morning and evening were people who see hospitality as a calling not a job. They were kind, patient, gave us good directions, listened to our excitement and shared it. We stayed 5 days so we saw quite a bit of them. One day a large group came from Australia and I watched as one guest came down to complain the room was too hot and then next came down to complain the room was too cold. I marveled at how well the staff handled each situation. And when I asked for a chair in the room instead of an ergonomic ball, they made it happen right away. Room was bigger than most European rooms. There is laundry onsite if you need it. Breakfast was worth the price and there is beer and wine in the evening. It takes about 10 minutes to walk downtown and the parking garage was very tight - I feared those corners and preferred parking on the street. That aside though, I really compliment the staff and wish I could remember their names (Sara? Hannah?)!!"

"Truly beautiful setting, wonderfully elegant. Dining on the terrace with hot air balloons floating on the horizon- so picturesque. Wonderful place. Indoor and outdoor pools provide excellent relaxation. Many good restaurants nearby, but we were happy breakfasting and dining at the chateau. "

The ambience of the place is really lovely. Plenty of nice walks around. Near to the river and lots of great restaurants. The beds are so comfortable. The breakfast was perfect.
