"This apartment was perfect for our stay in Mérida. There were only two adults staying, so there was more than enough space. We enjoyed the Picasso themed decor. There is no elevator in the building, but we didn't anticipate any problem carrying our bags up a few flights. (Lucky for us, Santos's assistant met us and helped carry the bags upstairs.) "Best hosts ever. Was greeted by owner's father and mother. We were shown the property and asked if we wanted a fire lit while we were out seeing the ruins. And we had a warm cozy home to return to. "We needed a hotel for three adult family members with parking for one night, conveniently located near Mérida’s old town, and Hotel Velada met our needs perfectly. Check-in was prompt and smooth, and we were able to add a last-minute breakfast option without any hassle. Extending check-out by an hour was also easy to arrange with a quick phone call. The room, while on the smaller side, was clean and well-prepared to accommodate all our needs. The hotel’s location was a big advantage, within walking distance of a covered public swimming pool as well as the Roman amphitheater and theater. Overall, it was a great choice for our short stay in Mérida."
