The hostel was really nice and the staff was super friendly. But don’t pay more for a women’s only dorm because I did and was still put into a mixed dorm.

I think this hostel is really nice! It wasn’t very social while I was there, but the rooms were clean, probably the cleanest shower I’ve seen in a hostel and the kitchen area is quite nice! Because it is in the basement it does get really really cold down there so it’s not a usable space in January, however I can see the potential for summer! It would be nice if there were more common areas that had heat and seating for people to visit as the rooms don’t have anywhere to sit in them! Very close to the train station and lots of food/bars/shopping. Activities like a walking tour would have been nice!

staff were excellent and extremely helpful and all spoke english really well. rooms were well cleaned and looked nice. the hostel is right next to a tram stop so you can get anywhere in the city pretty easily. hostel is 5 minute walk from place de la comedie which has great restaurants and there are some convenience shops nearby for snacks and drinks.
rooms were a bit cramped for 6 person dorms and no air conditioning, only a small electric fan, so it can get extremely hot. bunk beds were wooden boxes just under 2 metres length so if you are tall it will be cramped. on weekends the club next to the hostel and the people can get really loud so it was hard to fall asleep after 11:45pm.
It’s a new place, but I’m sure they will be improving some of the facilities Rooms are very hot, air conditioning didn’t work at all, maybe saving on electricity
Lovely hostel with friendly staff, clean and modern. At 5'9/175cm I did feel the bunks were a little short, as either my head or feet were constantly hitting off one side, so anyone over 6' might find this a bit annoying.
Great location near to main station and tram links and close to old town (very close). Relatively modern interior. However, the wifi was non-existent (kept telling me it would be fixed in tomorrow, I was there 8 days, it wasnt and when I asked them they just laughed) and place is a like a farraday cage no data signal... sink in communal kitchen out of order so no water for cooking (not great for hostel), also the kettle was broken, didnt boil just luke warm so have to boil water on stove. Beds were too small (I'm 5'9" so not tall not short but either my head or my feet were up against the boards. Worst pillow ever, like a singular marshmellow. Also rooms (all rooms) were very small and awakwardly shaped so you had to climb on the toilet to get in the cubical (communal, the room toilets and showers were fairly decent). Also far too expensive almost €50 per night for a hostel is basically hotel money, not worth that much. Ive stayed in better hostels for less money.
I have stayed in many, many hostels - including 100+ bunk rooms on the Camino de Santiago. I have never been somewhere as bad as this. There is quite a problem with the air at this hostel. At check in I was given a room with an intolerable smell, and all they could do was move me to another room that had the same problem. This hostel is far too cramped, and there is no airflow. They refused any attempt to obtain a refund and relocate to acceptable lodging. The staff is friendly, but the ownership needs to remove about half the bunks if they want these incredibly small and stale rooms to remain inhabitable. Truly a miserable experience.
