"We had a pleasant two night stay at Auberge des Grands Bois. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. It could have benefited from air conditioning but there was a Dyson Air Fan available and fortunately the weather was not too warm. The staff were friendly and breakfast was delivered to the room. "Cheap and very basic. Handy to find somewhere for £60 a night that has a fridge, mini kitchen. Underground parking cost extra. Breakfast was basic, not much choice. Worst thing was that it’s right on top of railway lines and from about 5am onwards you hear a loud alarm going off (to warn of an oncoming train) followed by the thunderous noise of the train going past "

They also have free laundry facility and also an option to rent bike free as long as you bring it back before 9pm. "Ron and Eileen were there to meet us on arrival, the welcome bottle of wine was a lovely gesture. From the very start of our stay our hosts were very attentive, from offering to go the pharmacy (I was poorly first couple of days) to giving us great advice on where to go and what beaches to visit. Everything required was available in the studio and the view was absolutely outstanding across Lac Leman. Many many thanks for letting us stay with you."

"Great location, walkable from the train. Very nice check in staff. We had to take a twin room and the beds were not great, they are lower at the head of the bed than at the foot. "The only issue was that I had to wait to get checked in. I did get a balcony overlooking the lake. And I didn't pay for a special room. I loved the tiny room. The tub shower was a bit small. But, it was so cute and what a view and it had all you could need. I wish it was my permanent apartment. I stayed at the hotel in front of it two nights before. This was much better. One street away from the noise. Great black out drapes. TV was good. A great way to end my trip. And I'm a difficult grader."
