The quayside in Amble has a Sunday weekly market and is home to the Harbour Village where small independent shopping pods sell a range of arts, crafts, accessories, food, and drink. Head to the RPSB reserve of Coquet Island to discover puffins, terns and eider ducks, and take a boat ride around the island to see it from a unique perspective, while wildlife lovers will also relish the chance to explore the Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre and birdwatching opportunities are prominent at Druridge Bay. 6 miles North brings you to the quaint town of Alnmouth, a popular coastal village known for its excellent 18-hole golf course and its charming cycle routes. Stop off at one of the blissful beer gardens and soak in the glorious scenery.
