Girls trip
Beautiful apartment with lovely views. However quite far from town with bus that only comes every 30 mins so was a bit tricky with skiis. If snow conditions were better you can get the bus directly to Nyon but otherwise it’s 2 buses to get to the bubbles. Also bit far without a car to go into town in the eve. But very responsive re communication so great choice for those with a car!

thanks for your feedback, just to clarify of the buses. Their a direct bus to morzine which drops off a short walk from the main bubble. The transfer time to the Nyon lift is less than 15 minutes and is direct. To get to Avoriaz a change of bus is required but this is very simple (the other bus runs every 5 minutes or so) and the total transfer time to the Avoriaz main bubble is around 15 minutes and i often an easier transfer by bus than by car.

Perfectly sized for 2 families of 4. Well stocked kitchen, useful laundry machines. Came with the essentials (cleaning products etc), Hot tub was consistently hot & clean. Good check in process. Good comms from local agent. Would book again.

Wonderful Chalet
A great chalet, worked really well for the eight of us, convenient for the bus stop which was just outside the building. Very clean, beautiful views and Tom, the chalet host was extremely helpful. Would recommend.

Fantastic place
Trip away with family. The owner Ian was great with communication and Tom the host was excellent as well. The chalet was great and the pool and hot tub a total hit. Big uphill walk to the chalet from the village but there is a bus, we just didn’t use it. The views are phenomenal. Super having a bbq as well. Chalet is well equipped although Only thing would maybe be a Couple of fans as the chalet got really hot due to the weather Morzine itself is fabulous with so much today Easily one of our best family holidays ever. Beats the beach hands down

Had a lovely stay in Morzine, property had everything we needed, great views and the hot tub was great after a days snowboarding. Great communication for chalet manager Tom, he even popped over when we first arrived and gave us a lot of tips as is was our first visit.

Great property in a great location.
We will stay here again. We drove down from the UK and although there is a ski bus I am not sure we’d have had such a great time if we needed to rely on it. You can walk into Morzine (+20mins) but that’s not too much fun if you get the amount of rain we had. Hot-tub was great addition. Trying to think of something negative to say and struggling. Greats comms from owner too.

Lucy was so helpful and made our check in so easy. The chalet is clean warm and well equipped. The hot tub was a real bonus too. Only one problem.. there was not enough hot water for more than 3 people to shower! Although Lucy did say she would try to have it fixed. We would definitely return

Chalet Sautarelle was top class!!!
This chalet was perfectly suited for our visit ( 6 adults and 2 children). You could have had an additional person sleep in the pull out bed very comfortably. We had an amazing trip here in Morzine and spent time skiing on the slopes (both on Pleney only a 5 minute drive away and Les Gets a 15 minute drive away). There was also a free bus which picked up right outside the chalet and dropped you at the roundabout Mouille au Clerc. You can then walk into the Centre or hop on another free bus (we used Ligne A) to get propped of right at TC Pleney for skiing. There was a good covered parking space underneath the chalet and a dry boot room which left our skis and boots dry for the following day. There was a lift or stairs up to the chalet which was perfectly situated to face the beautiful white mountains. We fell in love with this chalet and will definitely use again next year. The chalet had everything you need for a cosy stay and we picked up groceries on the way from Geneva Airport so ate in a few nights using the amenities available to us. Overall a really beautiful chalet in a gorgeous mountain town.

Fantastic trip but let down at the end
The property was excellent and as described, perfect for the needs of a group or family. Location is what it is, and certainly is not a problem if you realise it is a short walk to the centre and do your research into buses and taxis. The management, whether the owner or employees used, chose to keep a chunk of our deposit for very little reason. We tidied, stripped beds etc but they chose, after we'd left, to insult us by saying it was filthy. We suspect this is a ploy by someone to gain extra income. They said the hot tub was used once. We phoned our contact to say it wasn't working and sent pictures of the display. She informed us it was showing a fault. Part of the deposit kept was to "clean and refill" the hot tub, which most people would like to think was standard practice anyway for hygiene? I contacted the owner about our suspicions which were obviously denied. We weren’t prepared to let taking a sum of the deposit spoil our trip but would like to warn others to beware of this most basic tactic

Excellent chalet
We stayed here for 4 nights in January and the chalet was perfect. It is a good 25 min walk to the super morzine and getting back from morzine centre is difficult without a pre booked taxi otherwise you face a steep uphill trek which would be very difficult for young families. We managed to get a local taxi driver to pre book lifts into/out of the resort. Overall a great holiday!

Ski chalet in Morzine
Great chalet for 9 of us with a fabulous view over Morzine. It had good size rooms, great kitchen and a lovely hot tub! We were welcomed on arrival and shown where everything was. The free bus past the chalet goes once an hour, or it’s a 15min walk down the hill to the more frequent bus routes.

Wonderful 5 days in Morzine, Skiing in Avoriaz
We were two families of 4 and stayed in this lovely chalet in April 19. The accommodation is perfect for families sharing with a practical living space, outstanding vistas and a hot tub to soothe aching limbs. We ate in every night which was great as chalet has all the facilities you need, skied up in avoriaz as late in the season but only a 10 min drive to prodaines express. Would recommend both DoorStep skis and Ski Bro for ski hire and lessons. Hired a 9 seater from french side of Geneva to save costs although plenty on Brit number plates so driving from Uk also an option. Highly recommend this chalet if you want to ski hard and enjoy nights in.

Lovely place, well kept, warm with lovely views from the hot tub.
Only tip would be to hire your skis and leave them in the shop or locker so you can walk up and down the hill without relying on the bus. However, bus service is free and reliable but only every hour.

Lovely chalet
We stayed here over Easter for a skiing holiday . Chalet was lovely, plenty of space of all. Everything there that you could possibly need. Great views over Morzine and the hot tub was a real hit. It is a little treck up the hill if you don't have transport but there is a bus service a few minutes walk away.

Great chalet with fantastic views
The chalet is well appointed and affords great views over the valley. Bit of a hike up the hill at the end of the day but not too bad with a few apres ski beers in you. Hot tub clean and well maintained and a cosy woodburner. Good bedrooms and adequate living space with plenty of kitchen equipment. All clean and smart. We had a great holiday. Thanks.

We were aware that one of the showers was lacking in power and so we have replaced this shower with a more powerful one and also installed a new screen, hopeful,y makes the stay even more enjoyable Regards Ian

Skiing holiday
A lovely chalet with plenty of space for 2 families of 5 each. The hot tub was an added luxury. The snug was brilliant for the children. The walk to the bus is only 10minutes but along a busy road with no pavement or street lights so had to keep a close eye on the younger children. We had a fantastic time in a lovely resort and chalet. Ian (the owner) was fantastic with corespondances and very helpful. Mara the chalet manager helpful on phone when problem with dishwasher. Engineer called to fix it as well as both outside lights and 1 ring of hob but as over new year it would be happening after we left (this was no problem to us though). We had a great holiday.

Extremely Disappointing
Overall this was a very disappointing chalet. Cleanliness was the biggest issue, there were issues in every room. The tea-towels had a dreadful smell and not fit for purpose, we complained immediately and they were replaced but unfortunately the replacements were just the same. The towels were almost as bad and stained. Kitchen pots wand pans, utensils etc all had to be washed prior to use. There was quite a lot of dust and dirt around the chalet and generally felt unkempt. The TV didn't work all week and when we reported this, we were told it was due to the weather, when it was a largely dry and bright week. Worst of all was the hot tub, it looked very murky but we were told it was the type of chemicals they use there. Two of the children became very sick, one was almost hospitalised! Missing valuable days of skiing ..... Also two of the children sustained injuries from the hot tub where there were missing jet covers, leaving sharp edges. There was so much debris down the side of the tub, it looked like a major health hazard in itself ! Upon return the owner informed us that the tub looked the way it did because a previous tenant had put bubble bath into the tub. With that knowledge, it should have been out of bounds until it could be emptied! And we should have been informed... On a general note, we found the chalet to small for 10 people and the advertised boot room was just a large cupboard with no lighting and no room to sit and put on/take off your boots etc. Naturally we asked for a partial refund from the owner and eventually he offered a tiny discount if we used the chalet again! Which was unbelievable as everyone of our guests were so disappointed and pledged never ever to use this chalet again. Helene Longshaw - April 2016

We have been renting out our chalet for 10 years and this is the first complaint of this type we have received. Prospective guests will see from the number of happy guests who have left messages here that we attend to ALL concerns swiftly. However, where guests return home and then let us know that they will start 'taking action if they do not receive a substantial refund' it is difficult to address any of the concerns in a timely way. Things do occasionally go wrong - it would be disingenuous of us to suggest otherwise - our promise to you is that we will take action to resolve any matter brought to our attention during your stay as quickly as we can, even if this a dirty tea towel! You will see that this is the case by looking at the previous reviews and then decide for yourselves the value of this review, please feel free to email for further details if you would like to discuss anything further.

Nice property. Clean and tidy .good view of morzine. A few things didn't work but over all good and fare price. A bit of a trek up the hill on our bikes but kept us fit. Could of done with more storage for bikes we had to lock them in the our van as not enough room to put them in ski room. We would book again .

Excellent location with fantastic views overlooking Morzine. Facilities were clean and when we did need help to fix the dishwasher this was resolved immediately. The pool and hot tub were a real bonus and enjoyed by all. We will definitely be coming back!

As described - stunning views
We went there for the etape du tour. It is a great chalet. It is a little bit out of town but this is absolutely no bother at all with a car. In fact, given my experience of Morzine at night, it is a bit of blessing. There is a communal pool and sunloungers, along with the option of a hot tub. The team in Morzine were really helpful as well. The place was clean, well laid out and had everything we needed. Highly recommended.

Perfect for families
We stayed here for a week in July. Stunning property with great views across Morzine. It had everything we needed for a relaxing family holiday. Loft room/chill out area for the kids. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook for friends and entertain. Spacious/clean rooms with balconies. 3 bathrooms which were just the right amount for 2 families sharing, 1 upstairs, 2 downstairs. Washing machine and tumble drier were so handy- next time We will pack half the amount. The hot tub and pool were a added bonus and were well kept/ maintained. There was a bike store under the chalet for our downhill bikes. Great communication from Chalet owner and once we got to resort we were looked after by Mara who was really helpful. We will definitely be booking again for next year ! Fab holiday all round !!

Comfortable, well equipped and well located
This chalet would make an excellent base for a family or small group of friends visiting Morzine. It is clean, warm and very well equipped with everything you need when home from home. The chalet has amazing views over Morzine - great for watching the weekly torchlight procession or just admiring the view. A parking space is available for those driving, but it is equally easy to get to town either on foot (a 15ish minute walk for anyone fairly fit) or using the shuttle bus service. I would definitely use the chalet again and would recommend it to a family or small group; large groups may feel a little constrained by a single parking space and general bedroom sizes (they're not small but not massive either) but for those planning to spend most of their time on the piste or apres-ski this wouldn't be an issue.

Warm, well equipped and spacious chalet with amazing views and hot tub!
The chalet was warm, well equipped and spacious. The sleeping arrangements were versatile, a double and twins and room for an extra bed if necessary plus a sofa bed on the mezzanine. There is a 20-30 minute walk or bus to the town, but you can leave skis and boots overnight in the ski hire shop. But it's worth the walk for the amazing view of Morzine and the slopes above and the hot tub on the balcony looking across to the mountains which is awesome!! We are booked again for next year and I would recommend to anyone.

Nice location but a few things could be improved with the Chalet
Chalet Sauterelle is one half of a double house in a larger complex of several chalets, whirlpool is private, pool is shared with several other properties. On warm days, the chalet got really hot and could do with an air con. Generally well appointed with most of the appliances you would need. Parking is an issue since there is only one allocated parking space (in a property with 4 bedrooms), so you are reliant on neighbours agreeing you can use one of their spaces if you have a second vehicle, or parking a long way away. The whirlpool was clean but the jets didn't work well and probably needs a service. The pool area had no shade areas and was generally in need of a freshen-up (several pool recliners broken, pool need cleaning).

Thanks for your review and feedback. A few of the jets in the hot tub were damaged by previous guests and these are in the process of being replaced. The chalet does only have one space but there are a number of unallocated spaces at the site which can be used. The visit was during a very hot period in the summer, pretty much all properties in the area do not have A/c this is very rare in the alps however the property does have a fan.

Bonne experience. Vue magnifique.
Magnifique chalet de montagne, spacieux pour 6 adultes et 3 enfants. Tres belle vue sur morzine, situé a 5 minutes seulement en voiture du village. Hôte réactifs et procédure d'arriver avec boite a cles très pratique. Jaccuzi très apprécié apres le ski. Situé au calme. Bien équipé. Par contre literie moyennement confortable , quand on tire de l'eau cela fais un bruit fort aigue dans 1 des chambre du bas.. seche linge capricieux... et propreté a ameliorer... attention aussi, il n'y a que 1 place de parking de réservé pour le chalet... et pas moyen de se garer ailleur que sur les places des voisins qui par chance pour nous n'etaient pas la pendant notre semaine. Voiture indispensable car on peut pas sortir des enfants ou chiens a proximités.

Séjour de 5 jours dans le chalet. Hôte Anglais, mais qui se débrouille très bien en Français. Explication claire et précise pour l'utilisation des équipements et des clés. Aucun problème n'a été rencontré.
