The Happy Bear Lodge. Private, cozy, clean and minutes from Red Rocks
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay! The location was ideal for attending a concert at Red Rocks – we experienced zero traffic leaving the venue, which was a huge bonus. The home is tucked away in a quiet area, yet still close to several hiking trails and offers easy access to nearby towns and attractions. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free.If you're visiting the area, be sure to take some time to explore the scenic side roads – the views are absolutely breathtaking and there's so much to see and do. Highly recommend this spot for a relaxing and convenient getaway!"
Cozy two bedroom cabin 10 min from Red Rocks 25 min from Denver
10/10 Excellent
"Great spot, close to Red Rocks Amp which was the reason for the visit. About 10min (perfect traffic) house to upper south lot and vice versa. Comfortable beds and living space. As advertised very happy with the stay. Loved the outdoor propane fire pit, and deck, was a nice gathering area. Thank you"
"Everything was good with the exception that I didn’t have hot water the first night(considering it was a room with a jet tub was a little inconvenient)but everything else was fine!"
"This stay is perfectly set up for a couple or a small family. We cooked multiple meals in the kitchen and used the outside grill for another meal. We had everything we needed to be able to do so. The hot tub is very nice and a great way to relax after exploring CO. The loft is a great hang out spot. The location feels remote in the ways you would want it to be. We saw deer and fawns walking by the property very close by. There is very good privacy and the hosts value that in how they interact. The location is extremely convenient to Denver and everything west of there, especially Red Rocks. We saw a show there and nearly all the traffic was heading to/from Denver while we were able to go to Indian Hills. Good restaurants and shopping as needed close by. We recommend renting a 4 wheel drive vehicle as getting to the spot involves some steep gravel driving.Overall, highly recommend. If we do another Red Rocks concert, this is where we would want to stay again."
Views, Hot Tub, Skee-ball, Pool Table, Disc-golf, Trail Access on Property!
10/10 Excellent
"We had 4 adults, three kids and a dog and the house was great. The location and views were the best part! Communication with the host was phenomenal (immediate responses)! There were lots of amenities like heaters on the deck, pool table, hot tub and FULLY stocked kitchen. The deck in back had a gate at the side so we didn't have to worry about the kids or the dogs escaping. We had a couple of issues but the host resolved them very quickly. The only things I would mention is that the house is aging and with that comes things like some missing screens on the windows so we couldn't open them and a few other windows that we could open had to be propped open with a log. The lighting in the dining room (where we liked to play games) is a bit inadequate so we had to improvise there. But, I'm not lowering my rating because of those things. Mountain houses are supposed to be a bit rustic. Overall we enjoyed our stay there and really didn't want to leave!"
"We were only there for one night, and so appreciated that there wasn’t a minimum stay required the house was really great. Stocked with coffee and creamer to get us on our way. There isn’t a bathroom on the lowest level. Our youngest brother took one for the team and took that bedroom. "
