"The room, parking and the size was excellent. Needed more attention to cleanliness - some mild in shower; dust on bathroom heating system; hand cleanser and body wash very watery? Food was very good; reception and staff very nice Wine list had gaps - our first few picks were all unavailable (they said a wedding cleaned them out!) We were not here for golf but I would stay again and play golf next time."

"This is a very clean, comfortable property, close to town and in a safe area. The room itself was very clean and well provisioned for our purposes; we were an overnight stay and wanted to have a snack and heat up breakfast. The price is fair too. Overall, I would recommend staying here if you are in the area. "

"The Middle Rock Farm Stay "Lodge" is a delightful venue in a beautiful piece of serene countryside for an overnight or longer getaway. So much more luxurious than the term "shearers' quarters" implies. The living area and the bedrooms and bathrooms make for a modern, convenient and comfortable stay. The rooms are spacious and well-heated by the efficient log burner and heat transfer system. The beds have beautiful linen, and cosy underlays. "Good location Clean and warm Overall good. Bring extra toilet paper and dishwasher powder if you are staying more than a couple of days as only 3 loo rolls and a small amount of powder is supplied and not replaced during your stay. Shackleton restaurant had excellent staff and nice food but wouldn’t go there again unless they can fix the smoke coming into the restaurant from the fire place. We felt like we had smoked a packet of cigarettes, our clothes smelled and eyes burned. Felt sorry...
