The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Great hotel

"Fantastic place to stay. We used it as a base to visit the lakes and dales for a couple of days. Hotel/pub was in a lovely little village. We were in the Superior room which had a lovely view overlooking the river. Room itself was big with a nice comfortable double bed. Cleanliness was ok, room had clearly been cleaned however just a few marks on the wall. This didn't matter too much or affect our stay. Bathroom was a good size and clean. Could have done with some toiletries (no shower gel provided). Breakfast was fabulous - pastries, cereals and full English and great quality!! We ate in the bar one of the evenings, food was good and reasonably priced. Parking was free. Staff were nice, in particular Dave who was great and couldn't be more helpful!!! We will definitely return as there is so much more to explore in the area and would 100% choose The New Inn as our base. "
