"We did the Wild Hare 10k for the first time and had originally planned on staying at the large cabin at Bastrop State Park, but unfortunately it was booked. "I loved the feel of the cabin on this private property tucked among the pine trees. If you are looking for peaceful solitude, this is the place. Very close to the state park for hiking and the little town is cute too. The cabin was a little buggy, not too bad, but expected since it's in the middle of nowhere. "We had a very nice stay at The Beer Joint. The hosts supply everything you need. Started each morning with coffee and sitting on the porch, and ended the day with a cocktail and sitting on the porch. Do wish there was a couch, but it is exactly as pictured and described.
