"The July was absolutely lovely. I have OCD and will only stay where the place feels clean. The bathroom was spotless, the bed and bedding was clean (and comfortable - I slept like a baby) The staff were super friendly and gave us some really lovely restaurants to go and try (we’re foodies!!) and any bits missing from the room, they sorted in less than 5 minutes after calling the front desk. I could literally have stayed for another two weeks there to be honest and I’m hoping to come back asap...

"We had a great stay at the Amsterdam Bob W. Communication throughout our stay was excellent, using the great WhatsApp messaging service. We requested refills of the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and the housekeeping was excellent in getting them to us. The only constructive feedback I would give is that the mattress is very firm. The studio is perfectly equipped and minimalistic. "

"Es war gut als Startpunkt für Ausflüge in die Städte und ans Meer. Von der Unterkunft waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Es war nicht sauber geputzt und am Geschirr waren teilweise noch Essensreste. "If you are looking at this apartment, book it now. It was a perfect base for exploring the north of the country. The hosts were very helpful and gave us many suggestions on what to see in the area. The apartment is located in a quiet area and is well equipped with everything you might need. We did miss that there were no towels but that was easily fixed by the hosts. "Can’t fault the hotel itself, stunning and felt very safe. Very close to Zaandam train station (3 min walk) and easy to get to central Amsterdam. Slight issues such as other guests were smoking right outside the doors and you would have to walk through it almost every time you left the building. Also paid for late checkout but the cleaner didn’t seem to know this and had to try and explain. Overall, would return and great value for money as we paid under £300 for 4 nights"

"Amazing hotel! We booked a deluxe room and the room was huge, super comfy king sized bed with the best pillows! The shower was nice and powerful, good sized bathroom, hair dryer. There was a UK socket in the room and some USB sockets. We stayed here for Amsterdam, the train station is literally 4 min walk away and the train into Amsterdam takes 15 mins! It’s so convenient. We had to pay city tax when we checked in, lovely reception area and friendly staff! "

I could literally have stayed for another two weeks there to be honest and I’m hoping to come back asap (when I can afford a longer stay). It’s about a 25/30 min walk to central Amsterdam and it’s an easy enough walk. The ferry is about a 10 minute walk away too, so great to get to the artsy side of dam. The only thing I didn’t love was the TV - we luckily brought a cable to connect our iPad to use Netflix etc, but if you don’t have that, you can only watch a couple channels and the apps don’t load properly - it took me a while to get YouTube up and I can’t even remember how I did it in the first place! I can’t say that’s the case for every room and is only a slight negative if you wanted to chill and watch something after being out all day. "
