This cabin is as pretty as it looks in the pictures. The view is wonderful and the colors were great-we were there in October. It has a well stocked kitchen, 3 bedrooms with nice beds and 2 bathrooms. We had a great time in the area exploring and saw many waterfalls. The cabin is in an ideal location no matter which direction your wandering takes you in.
There are a few things that I believe anyone renting should know. If you don't have a 4 wheel drive vehicle you would probably not want to take your vehicle on the road to the cabin. It is dirt and sand and very rough. If it had been raining it would have been a mess.
You enter the cabin though the garage and go up a steep, narrow flight of steps. This is the only entrance/exit from the cabin. I believe there should be, at the very least, one of the emergency ladders you can throw over the deck or out a window in case of fire as you would be trapped. There was only one working smoke detector also. This caused some concern for all of us (there were 4 of us) as the garage is filled with tools and furniture.
The bedrooms and the bathrooms were filled with someone's belongings. There were clothes, shoes and personal belongings in both bathrooms and all 3 bedrooms. It lent an uncomfortable feeling to the place. There was no place to put anything in the downstairs bathroom as the medicine cabinet and under the sink were filled. I have never stayed anywhere that this was the case. The staircase going to the master bedroom on the top floor has no handrail and narrow steps. This was a safety concern.
Overall I think this cabin has the potential to be a 5 star rental. But I think they need to address some safety concerns (Ladder, handrails, smoke detectors, hanging lights not secured in garage) first and clear the place of personal belongings-or lock them away somewhere so guests don't feel like intruders.
