Standing within a historic battery tower, the Museum im Zwinger contains a collection of intriguing medieval weapons and torture tools. You can also find Japanese helmets, lances and javelins, Roman artillery and medieval swords in this complex.

Enjoy a meal in the restaurant on the ground floor of the battery tower. This privately owned structure also contains three apartments on the middle floor. Note that this 16th-century tower was constructed to defend the town from enemy fire from the adjacent Rammelsberg hill.
There is a fee to enter the tower with discounts for kids. Toddlers can enter for free. The site opens from late morning until afternoon, Tuesday through Sunday.
The Museum im Zwinger is in a park a little south of the historic center of Goslar. Get a bus to the stop on the southeastern side of the park and walk for a few minutes to arrive at the museum. Nearby attractions include the Zinnfiguren Museum, the Stollenlinde and the Kegelworthturm.
