"Very happy with this accommodation. Good area for walking into town centre or getting the train or tram. Good facilities in the area, great cafes nearby. Not much storage space in the apartment. Could do with some hooks in the bathroom to hand towels other than the heated radiator. My only gripe is there are heavy fire doors inside the building and the apartment which some inconsiderate fellow guests insisted on banging at 1am, two nights running. "

"This is student housing. We brought our own pillows from home, which I would recommend. The beds are small, but was fine for us because we were prepared for the size/situation based on other reviews. Bathroom is tiny. Rooms are not cleaned during your stay unless you pay extra. If you have accurate expectations you will enjoy your stay here- the staff was REALLY FRIENDLY and accommodating-- the actual room was as expected, because we were expecting a dorm room! :) "

"Wonderful location right off the Royal Mile. Our apartment was modern, clean, comfortable and quiet, even though we were in a busy area and there was construction going on towards the back of the building. More than enough space for our family to stretch out and relax after long days of touring the city! Linens provided were ample and clean, bath products were available in the bathrooms and the kitchen was well equipped. We would absolutely book again!"

"I came here with my mum who is 70 she was fine with the stairs equivalent to one flight in a house. Then there is a lift. The apartment is PERFECTLY situated for Edinburgh centre and the Christmas Market is across the road. Everything is no more than 10 min walk max! Lots of lovely shopping and a million places to eat, so hard to choose. I will absolutely go to this apartment again."

"Great location, easy to get there from the airport, lovely restaurants nearby and close to all the tourist stuff. Great apartment, really well equipped and nicely presented. Couple of relatively minor points- the apartment is quite big, the bed is too small and not that comfy. Also in the small dressing room there’s a full length mirror & storage but no place to plug anything in. Other than that a really good and easy would have happily stayed longer."

"We were in Edinburgh for 6 days, for a conference and some sightseeing. Although there were 2 of us, the flat would be fine for 4. There's plenty of cutlery and crockery, a full oven and fridge freezer, so catering is easy. The area is very quiet, but just 15 minutes into the centre of the city on the tram, which is an easy walk away, as is a mini Sainsbury's. "We were very happy with our Malt House apartment, which was conveniently located in regard to nearby attractions. A couple of minor detractions: 1. The towel heating rail could only be activated by turning up the heating for the whole apartment; 2. Being close to a pub meant there was occasionally some noise from patrons leaving at night [but it was also very handy for a drink and food :) ]. We would certainly stay at the Malt House again."
