Myrtle Beach Boardwalk

Bring your family to this pleasant coastal avenue with excellent beaches, an entertainment district and lively piers with varied restaurants.

The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is an oceanfront promenade with plenty of shops, restaurants and family entertainment. It runs for 1.2 miles (1.9 kilometers), providing excellent views of the Atlantic Ocean beyond the scenic beach. Stroll down the boardwalk with your family to get a sense of the fun ambiance in Myrtle Beach.

Dine on seafood at one of the many restaurants that decorate the promenade. Head out to Pier 14 for its namesake restaurant and lounge overlooking the water. The nearby Second Avenue Pier is longer, containing plenty of fishing spots. Enjoy a romantic stroll with your partner on this pier, which stretches over the ocean for 900 feet (275 meters). View weekly firework shows from the rooftop bar and capture photos of the panoramas at sunset.

Walk northeast for a few minutes to reach Plyer Park, which hosts free music concerts in summer. It is next to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Entertainment District, which has several Ripley attractions. Get confused in Ripley’s Mirror Maze and confront your demons in Ripley’s Haunted Adventure.

Check out the bizarre facts and characters chronicled in Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium. The Ripley’s Moving Theater is a futuristic simulation ride through thrilling special effects and graphics portraying dinosaurs and other frights.

Among the most iconic parts of the cityscape is the Myrtle Beach Skywheel, which lifts you above the promenade. Try Myrtle Beach Zipline Adventures and Myrtle Beach Thrill Rides to keep the excitement level high.

As a relaxing contrast to the entertainment is the soft, sandy beach. Sunbathe and play volleyball here in the summer.

Attend events such as Boardwalk Fright Nights in the weeks leading up to Halloween and the Sun Fun Festival in early June.

The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk stretches along the Grand Strand coastline in the southeastern part of Myrtle Beach. Visit nearby attractions, such as Ocean Woods Memorial Park, Mt. Atlanticus Minotaur Golf and the Family Kingdom Amusement Park.
