Safari Tentalow in Namibia

"A very well appointed lodge, upmarket rooms or large ensuite tents. In keeping with our safari theme we choose the tent. Large, 4 single beds, why 4 I don't know, very clean, large ensuite shower bathroom area at the rear. Similarly large kitchen area/veranda/dining area with river view. All perfectly clean and equipped to self cater all meals. The main reception, bar and restaurant is multi level with expansive views. We ate evening meals rather than cook and the buffet choice was varied and...

"The worst thing was that Wotif sold me accommodation that did not exist. For a group of ten, that was a problem. The staff were very helpful in sorting something else. Wotif was a near disaster. Property has moved and is under construction. Taking tht into account, it was excellent. We had dinner. We had two people who were gluten free and told them. Part of dinner was not gluten free, but they did then prepare something appropriate."

"Spacious and well decorated rooms, very clean with attention to detail, wonderful river views, 4 course high quality dinner, and very family friendly!!! The hosts were very hospitable!!!"

"This is a lovely spot with fabulous views over the Erongo mountains. The water hole below the lodge attracted quite a bit of wildlife, including giraffes and kudus which made lovely viewing over dinner. Room was lovely with delightful patio. Food and service were excellent. My only criticism was the lack of air conditioning. Although we had every window open (they have insect nets) and the fan going all night, it was still a bit warm. "

"This is a wonderful place with breathtaking scenery and views. I could have spent days just looking and enjoying the peace and quiet. The breakfast and dinner was very tasty and they even considered that we are vegan. Their reforestation project is grandiose as well as what they do with the income. We enjoyed the time very much."

"Etendeka offered a very different experience and one which we thoroughly enjoyed. It would not suit everyone though. The drive from the pick up point is over an hour but provided opportunities for wildlife spotting. Our tent was comfortable and as expected. All meals were eaten at one long table and the food was good and in home cooked style. The trips out, the morning walk and afternoon drive were excellent.
