This place was very cool. Every floor has a different theme/color scheme and the rooms were big and bright. Most places I've stayed in Japan so far have been pretty mundane, but this place definitely works hard to be different and nice. Glad they had a few laundry machines as well. I'd stay again anytime

From western breakfast options to a selection of traditional oriental style breakfast, all are fresh and very tasty. Beyond breakfast, the hotel impressed with its clean, well-appointed rooms, friendly staff, and convenient location. Rooms were quite small and the room was quite smelly of smoke, even though we knew when we signed up it was a smoking room. We were also in a room facing the rail line so could hear it little, though the panes were double glass so it wasn’t too bad. Sitting area in the lobby was nice and breakfast buffet was nice also and not too expensive. And location was great, just a few minutes walk from Nara station

Bathroom is very dangerous. The big step in as mentioned is a hazard. The size of the bathroom is barely the size of portable bathrooms (porta potties) and the sink is basically in the bath tub. Height is impossible for anyone taller than 5’ 10”. Step in to the tub is also incredibly high. The rooms are also very dated, and as mentioned the sofas need to go. Staff pleasantry and helpfulness was a mix. Early morning staff was excellent to help us with the luggage transfer. The ones that checked us in though was a little rough.
