The hotel itself is good. The room was very comfortable. The location is close to Vanderbilt and parks, so nice for walking; but limited dining options. It's quite a distance from Broadway, walkable (45 min) and they do have a shuttle with limited hours.

Hotel is ok, but nothing special. Not located by any sites of interest. We stayed 3 nights and our room was never cleaned. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Only fresh fruit were bananas and oranges. They did have gf blueberry muffins, so that was a plus.

We liked there was a shuttle that could take us into downtown. Gym was good however should have been cooler as cardio equipment is in front of windows. There were only small towels by the pool for two days. These are minor deficiencies and overall the stay was excellent.

We booked a room for four but was pleasantly surprised to find we had an entire apartment, complete with an environmentally friendly kitchen that was fully equipped, including a water filter and all the essentials. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the hotel itself was beautiful and well-maintained. For parking, there were two options: valet parking or metered parking, both at about the same price—perfect if you’d rather not have someone else drive your car. The stay also included breakfast, with an egg station where you could customize your meal just the way you like it.

Close to bus line allowed us to stay without renting a car. The one major objection I have to the hotel is the mattresses are awful. They are too soft and do not provide enough back support. As a result, I had a lot of difficulty sleeping at night, and suffered from back pain throughout the day. I am 6' tall, about 165 #, and physically fit and have no medical issues with my back or spine. The severity of this issue forced me to try sleeping ON THE FLOOR for 2 hrs. one night. I don't understand why the mattresses in most hotels (including Element) are ridiculously soft. Marriot has enough clout with the mattress industry to get their own custom designed mattresses. Yet the mattresses that actually end up in their hotel rooms are very inferior. I just don't understand it. If I can't get a good night sleep in a hotel, I can give no more than 2 stars. Really sad, considering how much I liked the rest of the experience at Element.
