Retreat on 3 Acres w Kayaks / Hot Tub / Fire-pit

NOTE: Inquire directly about single night stays. We keep a two-night or higher minimum requirement year-round but might make exceptions depending on the situation.

Totally secluded and isolated from the every day hustle and bustle, this property is ideal for that long break, or short weekend getaway! Surrounded on 3 sides by Percy Priest lake and totally wooded, this property provides the ultimate in privacy, but you're still within reach of most Nashville areas.

Distances:
Downtown Nashville 29 miles / 35-40 minutes
BNA Airport (Nashville) 23 miles / 35 minutes
Mount Juliet (Providence shopping area) 12 miles / 22 minutes
Smyrna, TN 8.6 miles / 15-20 minutes

The house is NOT lakefront. You can reach the lake by walking through the woods but it's recommended that you drive to the Lamar Hill access area for water activities. This boat ramp is a 1/2 mile away. 2 Kayaks, 2 Paddle-boards and a trailer will be provided!

The property also includes a fire-pit, hot tub and a huge deck for all your outside activities. There is a large field on one side of the house as well.

This property features 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. 2 of the bedrooms are King suites and one features it's own entrance and is VERY spacious. The other 2 rooms feature queen beds and there is an additional queen sleeper sofa in the living room.

Guests will have access to the entire property.

Although there are a few houses that share the same road, this property is very isolated. The driveway is very narrow and the last 1/4 mile is gravel. It can be accessed by most vehicles but you may need to drive slow and watch for bad spots in the road.

Uber and Lyft are available, but a car is recommended.

Pets are welcome but we ask that you please let us know how many and what type you plan to bring. We charge $100 per pet and ask that you not allow them on furniture during your stay as a courtesy to guests after you.

This property is in the woods. That means there will be some wildlife and that includes deer, opossums, raccoons, and bugs!. As much as we will try to control this with pest control, this is just a part of being secluded so please be aware.

Attention: There is 2 security cameras located on the front of the house facing the driveway.

Sister’s Trip
This was our annual trip for my wife, her sisters and their spouses. This house is very unique and eclectic. It is secluded and the only neighbors you see are the squirrels, deer, and turkeys. This place is close enough to Nashville to drive in less than an hour. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Very accommodating!
Our son was airlifted to the hospital in Naples and we had to Emergently fly to Italy with no time to plan. The owner was so accommodating to our needs. He allowed us store our bags until we were updated from the hospital. Great host!

Lots of space, comfy beds
We were visiting family in Murfreesboro so didn't spend as much time at the house. The house had plenty of space to spread out and relax, three bathrooms came in handy when trying to get everyone out in the morning and all agreed the beds were so comfortable. I wish we had more time to sit on the porch and enjoy the surrounding nature.

Great Friends Getaway!
This place was perfect for our group of 10. It had everything we needed and more! The managing company was great when we called about the missing corn hole boards and stove, really great customer service! Would definitely stay again! Ps for those looking into the activities provided: the kayak is actually a 2 person inflatable canoe, so you can actually get 8 ppl out on the water if needed (2 person/ canoe and 2 person/ paddle board).

Like a private park!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this magical space. The photographs of this listing give a good idea of the unique architecture and style of the building, porch, and amenities, but don’t convey the beauty of this gorgeous treed property. It’s truly like a private park at the end of a road, on a peninsula edged by Army Corps land and lake. In winter you can see the glint of water through the trees, and the light shows of sunrise/sunset reflections on the water. The porch, hot tub, and firepit were our favorite parts of the property. We loved all the windows bringing nature inside even in the cold, and the privacy. Furniture was extraordinarily comfortable. Great beds! I had to move into the main house from the garage master because even the combo of space heater and unit heater couldn’t keep that space livable. The queen bed was every bit as comfortable as the king. And I had to keep visiting the cold space because of the lure of that swing chair. The couches in the living room, as well as the outdoor furniture were great as well — and the swings hung at good heights. Given the attention to quality and style in furniture and decor, we were surprised by the flimsy flatware. The induction cooktop was a treat once we figured it out. You have to hold down that unlock button for FAR longer than you’d expect. Google was required. More specifics on that in the house manual would have been helpful. A dustpan and brush or a stick vacuum would be good additions. We had indoor shoes and outdoor shoes, but wanted to keep area by doors clean. We would have appreciated an electric kettle for tea at various water temps, a powerful blender or food processor, a toaster oven. Maybe a rolling cart or buffet type piece could be added to kitchen/dining area to accommodate more kitchen goods since storage is limited. Even at 5 mph, it’s a challenging road once you pass the nearest neighbors. There was only light rain while we were there, but the road was obviously impacted, and each trip required a new route through the ruts and washed out areas.

Beautiful house in a great location
House was great! Very cute and had everything we needed. Perfect size for two families. We had 4 adults and 5 kids. Teenage kids loved having their own hangout space in the converted garage. Hot tub was clean and there was lots of firewood for the outdoor fire pit. Kroger, Publix, and restaurants/shopping nearby. Nashville was only about 30 minutes away and was a great day trip (we went into town twice). Lake is beautiful and kids loved going on walks along the beach (we visited in December so too cold to swim). Property owners were also great. We didn’t have any issues but they were very responsive to any questions and the house was fully stocked with toilet paper, paper towel, soap, towels, coffee, etc. We will definitely be back in the summer when it’s warmer and we can enjoy the lake more.

Large, secluded property outside Nashville
Overall, a very pleasant stay. The property is quite large and secluded, plenty of firewood for the outdoor firepit, and plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms for all guests.

Beautiful Home and Peaceful Setting
The home is nestled in the woods, very peaceful and perfect for quiet time to gather with family after the hustle and bustle of Nashville. It's about 30 minutes outside of Nashville and since we had a family wedding to attend in Lebanon, this was a good location. We watched the wild turkeys and fall leaves from the swinging chairs and outdoor sitting areas on the wrap around porch. The linens and beds are cozy and comfortable, and everyone had a good night's sleep. The house was very clean and the interior decor was inviting with comfortable couches and family table in the dining area. Kitchen was well stocked with plates, utensils and two coffee makers. Adding an electric teakettle would be helpful for tea drinkers. Having sugar, salt and pepper, and coffee filters on hand would be helpful. And some k cups for the first morning. The filtered water feature on the fridge was an added bonus. Water pressure in the on suite bathroom was low. The converted bedroom (former garage) was cold as the heater wasn't working. The concrete floor and large windows were beautiful, however the curtains are too thin for keeping in heat. The space heater provided helped but not enough to keep the space comfortably warm as the temperatures during our stay dropped into the 30s. The bathroom in the converted bedroom wasn't private enough (curtains were not adequate for shower spray). The fireplace wasn't used as the outside propane tank that was hooked up was empty and we weren't aware there was a full tank available to hook up. It would be better if a full tank was hooked up before our arrival. I don't know how to hook up a propane tank. The virtual manual was very helpful. Jacuzzi was clean and enjoyable. Heat in the main house was excellent. I appreciated the initial contact by Cousins and their prompt responses. Check in and check out instructions were easy. The directions to the property were easy to follow. All and all our family had a great time here and I would recommend this home to future guests.
