Great getaway!
Peaceful, remote location with lots of amenities to enjoy if you choose to. Central location is great for all the attractions in the East part of the UP.

Family getaway with adult kids
The house on the lake was perfect for a family getaway. Adequate room for all of us and plenty of room outside for games and shenanigans. Plus, the location was great for day trips to Mackinaw City, Pictured Rock and Lake Michigan beaches. The Oswald Zoo was a surprising experience for the breadth of animals they had. Had a great time!

Very nice place.
This house matches the "up north" feel and was clean, quiet and comfortable. Great location and good communication with the owner. We could ride the side of the main roads or the seasonal (closed) roads to snowmobile trails 2 and 473.

Great summer vacation!
Had a great time with the family. Saw many of the sights the UP has to offer such as Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks, and Soo Locks. It was great to come back to a quiet, comfortable house and cook meals and sit by a campfire. Strouble lake was a great place to teach young children to fish, kayak, and row.

Relaxing Getaway
This was a great place for our three generations to stay. We enjoyed the chance to just kick back and enjoy the peaceful spot. Easy to get to Lake Michigan, Tahquamenon Falls, Mackinac Island and Soo Locks. Kids loved the kayaks and we caught some nice bass. The biggest one got away though!

The view from the porch is beautiful. We had a wonderful time. The property is centrally located. We were able to visit pictured rocks, Sault Ste Marie, and Tahquamenon Falls. We had everything that we needed for our stay at Strouble Lake.

A great get away!
This was our first trip to the Upper Peninsula. I am so glad that I found this house. It was spotless. The layout was great for two families. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that you need. Plenty of towels. A gas grill is just off the deck. The yard/deck is picture perfect! Watching the geese, turtles and swans was so relaxing for a family getaway. I would highly recommend this house. We can't wait to visit again!

Great place for a quiet get-away
We enjoyed Chad’s home , it is as described. Side by side trails are right from the house. It was very nice not to have to trailer them somewhere. Nice lake for fishing & Kayaking. My sons caught several fish. They enjoyed being able to walk right out the door to the lake . My 2.5 year old granddaughter had a great time too. A Fun place to stay for all ages. Plenty of beds, having the second bathroom was a big plus for us. We plan to return Thank you Chad

Quiet, spacious outside
Nothing too fancy but a nice get away. Laundry room smells a little like cat pee, but if you close the door it’s ok. Water smells of sulfur, so we left the bathroom fans on and shut doors. Internet is spotty so leave your devices at home - which is the point of this secluded getaway. The kayak is awesome out on the shallow lake.

Snowmobile trip
The house was everything we expected. We only ended up with 3 in our group, but could have doubled that with everyone having their own bed. Clean and comfortable. Snowmobile trails are convenient from the house, although we had arrived just after a big rain event, and had to trailer north to find good snow. That was just bad luck.

Absolutely awesome.
What a great vacation! The house is secluded but easily accessible. The home was clean, and perfect for our needs. The fishing off the dock is great for kids, many perch and bullhead were caught. The house is perfectly located for day trips to Manistique, Tahquemenon Falls, Pictures Rocks etc.... Be sure to check out Garlyn Zoo and Oswald's Bear ranch. This house exceeded all of our expectations. If your looking for seclusion, this is the place for you. I don't think we saw more than one other person on the lake all week, and no more than a few cars passed by during our stay. What more can I say, it's a great place to spend a relaxing vacation!

Adventures in the UP
The property was great. We enjoyed the solitude and quiet. It was about equidistant from the things we wanted to do, Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks, Sault Ste. Marie and St. Ignace. The weather was iffy while we were there and the mosquitos swarmed is any time we went outside the cabin but that’s Mother Nature. We enjoyed using the kayaks on the lake the day the sky was clear and the water calm. Chad responded quickly to any questions I had. Beth

The Strouble lake house
This house is truly amazing. Beautiful sun sets and sunrises. It is such a peaceful and private place. We stayed there with our 3 grandkids. They had a blast fishing and taking the kayaks out. Thank you Chad for supplying them for your guests. The kids caught a lot of fish. They released them all but enjoyed catching them. I even caught several and tried the kayaks. While we were there we visited the Garlyn zoo, the Oswalt bear ranch and the Taquaemenon falls. We also went in to Sault Ste Marie Canada. We would definitely recommend renting this house. We hated to leave. The Billings family
