Find your own isolated spot in a rocky cave, watch risk-takers dive off the green cliffs and relax on the white sand.

With its secluded caves, gentle waves and pristine white sand, Navio Beach is an absolute gem for sun seekers. It is flanked by picturesque, verdant cliffs that generate a frame for excellent photos. Let your kids play in the foamy water of this shallow beach.

Bring a deck chair and sunbathe in this relaxing, sandy haven. Stroll from one side of the strand to the other and enjoy the various vistas of the bay. The back of the beach is bordered by swaying palm trees and sea grape plants.

Arrive at the hidden caves that lie on the other side of the cliffs. Clamber over the rocks and locate a secret hideout for you and your partner. Watch daredevils diving off the high cliffs into the sea.

Take snacks and refreshments to the beach and lay down a blanket for a sunny picnic. Cool down with a swim in the calm, warm water of the Caribbean Sea. Admire the variety of blue hues that make up the water. The sea here is fairly calm, attracting beginner surfers to its small waves. Bring some boogie boards for the kids to take out on the sea. On the southwestern flank of the beach, the waves are a little stronger.

The beach is free to enter and open to the public at all times. Take extra care in the water as lifeguards do not patrol the strand.

Navio Beach is on a promontory that juts out from the central southern portion of the island of Vieques. Rent a car and drive south for 20 minutes from Isabel II to get here. The dirt road may be inaccessible during the rainy season from April to November. Make sure to visit other sights in the area, such as Puerto Mosquito Bioluminescent Bay, Punta Negra and Balneario Sun Bay.
