"I'll start first that while Smeraldo is tucked deep into Campo de Fiori neighborhood, it is ideal for those familiar with the area and especially first time visitors such as myself. If youre traveling with small children or elderly, just know that the area requires a lot of walking without metro near but taxis at the hotel. My stay was especially brightened by Leonardo, one of the hotel staff, who was always cheerful, assisted with all my needs and questions, and just an all around great guy to talk to. I really enjoyed my stay and recommend first timers to travel light, use a good pack to avoid the heavy cobblestones, and always, always, always make meal reservations for any place in the vicinity. "
