We really enjoyed our stay at Outrigger. The restaurant was having some struggles given I think the holiday week and being understaffed. Overall, it's a lovely resort. Would like to see more lounge chairs out for everyone.

I thought this place was a really nice change from the resorts. Staff was great, rooms were clean if a little dated. It was located out in the middle of nowhere but close to everything in Lihue, so it had a real nice old Hawaii feel. The live music was great. Small family run place.

"The Kauai Inn is full of charm. It's an older hotel (oldest in Kauai they told us) but the owner has made some key upgrades and the staff couldn't be an nicer. The sheets, towels, and bed were soft. The AC was cold and while the shower/bathroom was outdated, there was lots of hot water and nice water ..."
