"Chelsea Park Motor lodge is a great base for exploring Nelson and surrounding area. Approximate 10 minute walk from main shopping street and some of the town's parks. The room was spacious and comfortable with a small kitchen area including fridge. The hosts were friendly and helpful offering advise on places to visit/ eat. "Nice spot to stay for a night. Great location to Nelson shops. We had an issue getting into the hostel as they ask you to call reception, however I did not have a cell phone plan to call. I emailed the hostel and did not recieve a response. We eventually were able to get someone's attention, however it would have been easier if a door code was emailed to us prior to our check in time. On the flip side of the coin, this place is very secure :) "

"The property was very comfortable and generally met our needs. The shower was a little cramped and shower head kept flipping down. We weren't able to tighten the fitting. The narrow drive and tight turning circle into carport necessitated backing in or out for larger vehicle."
