"Hotel is convenient for the city, sitting as it does almost in the shadow of the cathedral. Nothing special about the room, but big enough and comfortable, with a comfortable bed, decent TV and a clean bathroom. The breakfast was very good - nice sausages and black pudding! Another guest at my table didn't like the fried eggs - they looked OK to me! Hotels are judged on their breakfasts, certainly by me anyway, and this one was good! Convenient car parking but was an extra cost."

"Great hotel very accessible for our needs. The outside really lets the inside down as it’s amazing on the inside but looks very dated on the outside not wholly helped by the conference centre which looks in need of some TLC. "

"I've only marked the surrounding area down because there's nothing really around there, but that's not a bad thing. In some ways it's good. The hotel is on an industrial estate surrounded by a lot of car dealerships. What that does mean is there's no passing traffic, it's very quiet because of this. Take nothing away from the hotel. All the staff we met were all very polite and helpful. The checking in process was very easy and the room very easy to find. The room was great. Spacious with a lsrge bathroom with bath and shower. The supplied shower gel and hair shampoo were extremely nice too. Tea and coffee facilities were also great as well as a large tv with sky sports included. Plenty of hangers for your clothes and drawers. The only negative is no USB charging points. But we had brought plugs anyway. Breakfast was lovely. Hot food was a selection. Bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, beans, mushrooms, sliced and cooked potatoes and halved tomatoes cooked. Limitless! Toast croissants, pan au chocolate, cereals, fruit, yoghurt. There really was a great selection. We had dinner one night with a great selection of good food, all served piping hot and tasty. The wings with buffalo sauce were especially nice. All in all a very nice place to stay, we will return again if needs be."

"Staff superb . Glass shelf in bathroom wobbly and dare not use it . No spoons in room for drinks ... stirrers would be enough . Did not use shower . Bed ok but pillows not very comfortable . Good last minute availability . Wasnt clear it isnt free parking though "
