Hotel lobby is beautiful, but belies the average to below average accommodations (standard king) on the higher floors. Our room was so dark; window looked out onto a side of the neighboring building and did not allow for much light, not to mention the awful "view." The room was cleaned daily, but not with attention to any detail. The carpet had crumbs from early in our stay until the day we departed and the toilet had strange rust stains and scratch marks in the bottom of the bowl that made it appear dirty even when cleaned. It's also worth mentioning that the floor in the shower is very smooth, hence, very slippery. Not an issue for us but still annoying and not good for anyone that's drunk, disabled, or assisting young children. The room doors on our floor (5th) slam shut. Loudly. All day and all night, slamming. However, the hotel overall is quieter (from the outside) than those on Boubon and still in a great location for walking everywhere. The worst thing about this hotel was the massively uncomfortable bed. The mattress looked and felt like it was old and worn out - hard as a rock and stained. We didn't sleep well the entire time we were there. This is a significant reason for my 2 star rating. Staff was consistently polite and did accommodate a request for late check out after our flight home was delayed. All in all, I would not recommended this as a comfortable stay.
