A few years back my husband and I stood at a hotel nearby, so this time around we knew we wanted to remain in the area. This property was 1 mile from the original one. Who would've thought it made such a difference?!!!! This area is not the best - sketchy, located in front of a homeless shelter, right across the projects. It was to the point we would at times take an Uber to the train station to avoid that 10 minute walk. The crazy part is that the actual hotel is beautiful. Extremely clean, nice continental breakfast, amazing staff, great rates. It's also very close to the train station with many restaurants within proximity.

Great value for money stay, relatively convenient to transport - 3 stops to Manhattan. Only downside was unreliable lifts & gritty Long Island experience may not be comfortable for some, but never felt unsafe & short walk to Metro.

Only stay here if don't need to worry about parking a car and you are ok not being out when dark. Only 1 elevator worked and then the 1 operating one broke so i had to go up and down 11 floors via stairs. Same breakfast all 6 mornings. Staff waa nice and so was room.

The property was new and clean. The area wasn’t that great with a lot of construction happening in the area. It was close to trains and affordable. The main thing was that the elevators kept breaking. Only one was in service so it would take a long time to come and go. One day both elevators were broken and we had to take the stairs to the 9th floor. Can’t imagine for those on higher floors or if anyone had a disability or had to carry luggage. You could feel the energy of everyone also being bothered by this inconvenience.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and while it had many positives, there were a few things worth mentioning. The hotel itself was clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the amenities were great – everything from the rooms to the breakfast area exceeded expectations. However, the surrounding area left something to be desired. It felt a bit sketchy, with less appealing streets nearby. While I never felt unsafe, the neighborhood was not the most inviting. If you’re planning on staying here, just be aware of your surroundings when walking outside, especially at night. Overall, the hotel was great, but the area might be a factor to consider when planning your stay.

Honestly the stay was amazing! The reviews were a bit off putting but honestly if you just ignore the area it’s in, it’s perfect! I’m very quiet and stay to myself and the staff did not bother me once unless to clean. This is an AMAZING HOTEL. I was very relaxed with my 4 day stay. Shout out to the amazing staff.
