"Very nice room, with everything working. The food was excellent - quality ingredients and beautifully presented on the plates. Speaking personally I would have liked a few more of those lovely vegetables to accompany the very tasty belly pork main course! Plenty of parking - very close to the accommodation. Very helpful and friendly reception staff. We will be back!"

"Great value. Very clean. Staff(Krishna) so very nice and accomodating. If you're there on a Saturday night as we were, there is a bar/cabaret on the premises which I didnt realize until after I booked and paid. However, turns out as the bar empties at 2am-ish, the noise is short-lived and not really an issue. If you're staying mid-week, it may be quiet. All in all - it's good value for a qick stay."

"Would definitely recommend the Rose and Crown as a place to stay in Carmarthen. The staff were cheerful and helpful, there's an extensive food menu served between 12 and 9pm. The breakfasts are to die for with local produce and veggie options. "

"Stayed in New Quay many times but this was our first stay at The Penwig and it didnt disappoint. We booked a sea view room which was lovely as you could sit in the morning and watch the dolphins out in the bay. The room was spacious and spotless. The breakfasts were tasty with a few choices and also catered for vegetarians. The staff were friendly, polite and nothing was too much trouble. There is no onsite parking but we used the carpark around the corner. It does get a bit noisey early in the am with deliveries to the pub and surrounding businesses etc but it wouldnt deter us in staying again."
